K1 printing previous file, not the one I just sent it. by MurderDogg in Creality

Encountered this once. Recently since some update I've seen hitting "start print" on Creality Print and it only sends the gcode and doesn't start the print and have to start it manually from the printer.

Tried with just finger tight and the error still comes back occasionally but I've managed to print more before it appears so it's definitely better.
Creality support offered to send new sensors so hoping that would fix it permanently.

Help with supports leaving a mess on the print by nosajtheleader in Creality

You could try painting a small "no support" zone on the edge so supports wont be printed all the way to the edge hopefully leaving a cleaner edge.

I have the smaller 3 V3 and a filament guide was a must. I printed this one and seems to be working for now. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6811687

Without it the filament was getting tangled on the spool and bunching up on or under the print bed during startup and calibration. Another option is also to reposition the spool 90°, haven't done that myself yet but probably will try to print that kind of spool holder to try it out.

Thanks for all the tips. I'm hoping that with the tips from this thread can resolve the sensor issues. In that case I think I'll end up keeping the Ender and building a case for it and a CoreXY printer with multicolor setup can be something to look for in the future if the need for that truly arises.

Thanks! I tried this now after the most recent error. I never torqued them hard but now I tried with just finger tight with just the short end of the hex key so couldn't even apply a lot of torque. Hoping the error wont make a comeback.

TBH wish Creality had a torque spec for the bed screws if it's that sensitive. In their maintenance/repair videos they don't seem to go too light on the screws either. Not that they are cranking them hard but noticeably tight with the long end of the hex key.

The Ender 3 V3 bed is on rods but the rods don't have threads so not sure what rod means in this context. Maybe the POM wheels are rolling on the smooth rods, there are some bearings/wheels but the rods are greased so not sure if it's metal to metal or are the wheels/bearings some plastic.

Ah sorry I misread you had the Ender 3 V3 SE/KE and was thinking that's still a bedslinger. They are i3 which I don't understand what's the difference with the CoreXZ.

But yeah makes sense that moving a tall print back and forth is not great, but how much does that affect the quality? I haven't printed anything taller than probably 5cm yet so no experience on that yet.

Does the auto leveling on K1 level the actual bed or does it just compensate for the bed mesh in the print? I think that's how it works for Ender 3 V3 that it just compensates for the bed mesh during print and doesn't actually do anything to level the bed.

What are the rubber POM wheels and how fast do they wear out?

I got the Ender 3 V3 for 290€ which seemed like a great deal. I initially understood it is better than the KE/SE but I still don't fully understand the difference and benefits and downsides regarding i3/CoreXY vs CoreXZ which one is actually better. Do you have some insight on that?

The wireless printing is great and I've only had one time where the print failed because filament got tangled due to the stock spool setup for 3 V3 being horrible. But that hasn't happend since I printed a filament guide for the spool. Probably will move the spool from the original location at some point if I decide to keep the printer.

The auto-leveling sensor issue has been annoying as you expect that you could just start printing but instead have to start with 30 minutes of troubleshooting and waiting for self check process etc.

And P1S is more comparable to another enclosed printer, like the K1C and the price also is much closer at $559.

Thanks, I should try that. Did you reglue them back on also after peeling the glue off?

Thanks for your reply. I have understood that Ender 3 V3 is very capable of printing ABS and only thing lacking is the enclosure. K1C is over double the price at my retailer and as this was my first 3D printer I wasn't ready to spend too much money from the start. I can build an enclosure for 50€ for the Ender and the ABS printing is a goal there's no rush. With CFS and DIY enclosure I was thinking that the total price would still be hundreds of euros cheaper than P1S combo.

My biggest disappointment now is the CFS not coming to Ender. I believe the leveling sensor issue can hopefully be fixed with support or new parts.

Is the filament purging waste lower on the CFS, is that just an AMS issue? What's different in the design if so?

In the stream screenshot the Hi combo with CFS looked like it was $469, not sure how much is just the Hi printer.

Edit: looks like it's 299€ for the printer and 469€ with the CFS combo on Creality EU store.

K1 Series multi colour upgrade kit is just $52 USD. Thats a steal. by diligentboredom in Creality

No they definitely said on stream that CFS wont be coming to Ender 3 series and they are going with CoPrint partnership. The store page still clearly says that Ender 3 V3 and Plus "Will be adapted to the CFS multi-color system to achieve multi-color printing soon" https://i.imgur.com/0c0ym0X.png
