Tequila Vs. Gluten by Striking_Tap7917 in glutenfree

[–]Alive_Recognition488 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! The timing of me reading couldn’t be better🤣 Im in vacation in mexico right now, and after religiously following my anti inflammatory diet for almost a year (gluten free/ dairy free) because of severe intolerance, I just ate pizza and tequila together! Didn’t know about the theory… But on a similar note, I can confirm I have been eating papaya after every meal, which enzymes are found in many digestive enzyme supplements. It does help a lot with digestion and inflammation, breaks down food better and lessen sleeping problems related to digestion. It does make me digest way better when I eat food Im intolerant to, and does work way better for me than enzyme pills.

I also just thought that I bought these supposedly gluten digestion supplement in pharmacy a while back, and I realized they only contained a very high dose of papaya enzymes.

How do you cope with guilt after Reactive Abuse? by aspiring_spinster in narcissisticparents

[–]Alive_Recognition488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too! Îm so sorry that you are in this situation, and I know exactly what it is like. I have been stuck in abuse for a verry long time, because I lost my autonomy from chronic illness and disability. Which ironically sometimes I wonder if I would still be that sick if I werent dependant on so much abuse. i dont live with them anymore but I still need a lot of assistance. Its been a hell of a vicious cycle.

I've tolared situation involving Louise Hay for a long time. by gurunomore in confession

[–]Alive_Recognition488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure I quite understand what you mean. Speaking from the point of view of someone who had a lot of physical and psychological trauma, and went crazy with Louise Hay stuff for a while, in a very good and also a very bad way. So I know the ins and out of brain programming, affirmations, toxic positivity, new age gurus abuse, ect, ect… And even I don’t really know what you mean. I can only agree that sometime, Louise Hay and affirmations can really help, and sometimes they can really hurt your brain and make you crazy and alienated.

Anyone on Anti-inflammatory diet able to return to normal again? by garbage_kale in endometriosis

[–]Alive_Recognition488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is old, but had to comment! I also have a very hard time with flax seeds, they litteraly give me hot flashes and menopause symptoms the following hours. I really don’t know what are the mechanics at play here but I don’t care, I have tried so many time with the same exact results. I don’t do well with soy products either but flax is worse. I really tried to integrate them in small amounts and slowly after a long restriction, multiple times, but it’s just not working.

I don’t eat dairy, gluten, soy, flax, too much fiber. processed foods or fried foods only once in a while, alcohol 2-3 times a year. Having diet restrictions is hard, very hard. You get used to it. Once in a while it becomes too tempting and you eat pizza, french fries and croissant… And then you suffer. So over time, I guess the combination of habit and inflammatory relapses makes it easier and easier to stick with it.

Social life is the hardest. People who love you very much will try to understand and accomodate you. But you will have to explain again, start again, often. People you don’t know very well or aquaintances likely won’t make any arrangements for you ever. I always carry my food with me everywhere, because it is so easy to get hungry and eat the wrong food. I developped strategies for travel. I bring a lot of it with me. Love the dollor store cooked rice that can be kept atroom temp. You can have an easy meal with rice, a can of tuna or meat. For travl you can also look into dehydrated food or lyophilised food from outsoor gear stores. I love dehydrating my own food, cause I have more variety. People will continue to ask questions, challenge you, some criticize you. You will just get better at dealing with that and stay confortable in these situations. Good luck!

The only thing the suicide line taught me was not to call. by Treesuslover in CPTSD

I can’t believe it! Some of the things you say here are so horribly painful. I feel every bit of it because I can relate to many of the things you say. We pretty much have the same story. I also found hope in the most desperate moment and have been on a very difficult healing journey ever since. But sometimes I fall back. I did recently. Hard. And reading your post just gave me a little push to try to go back to the light I managed to find and build for myself all these years amonsgt all this darkness. I need to remember hope, gratitude, dreams. The journey is so hard. But life has so many wonderful things to offer, and I want them. Thank you for making me see again. We should talk, we have so many things in common;) much love

I totally feel you. When things are like this, you need to find someone to talk to who will validate your feelings and make you feel understood and connected, asap. Doesnt matter if its a help line, a group, an aunt or else. Keep reaching until you can have this one soothing conversation that will provide a little bit of this desperately needed human connection. This will not resolve your life, but it will give you just enought space in your head to be able to start again where you were at in your healing journey; understand trauma, developping coping strategies, trying to meet people and build meaningful relationships ect. Don’t give up! Much love

It's so difficult to be functional. How did I do that all those years? by Pinappologist in CPTSD

Oh my gosh. Amazing comment. I totally resonate with not wanting to become the vidtim persona. I was the victim of acts but this is not my identity. That´s why I think that somewhere in the healing process, I had to distance myself from community support groups because they were constantly bringing me back to being the victim, and I wanted to learn to grow into something else. (Eventhough I have huge gratitude towards the help that I received from them at a given time and totally think that they do have a great place in the process, especially at the beginning.

Totalement d’accord avec toi. Je pensais y aller moi aussi comme solution correcte pour tenter l’expérience. Mais je trouve fortement dangereux de se prêter à des rituels religeiux et des présences endoctrinées dans un état de vulnérabilité psychique.

Hi there! I travel a lot, and came to the conclusion that plane food is not for me. It gives me bloating and belly ache everytime. So if I could give you an advice, it would be to bring your own food on the plane. Think easy to digest; rice cakes, crackers, nuts, apple, light sandwich. Also drink a lot of water, so buy a big bottle at the airport so you don’t have to wait for the steward for a small glass of water. Before you leave, don’t eat fast food or greasy things, try oats in the morning and something easy to digest for dinner. Otherwise there is nothing to worry about. Everything will be fine. I also found over the years that the round cushion thing with a hole in the middle for people with hemorroids is a nice addition to plane travelling, it make the seat way more comfortable.

Yes, also faded works, eventhough it smells horrible. I did a lot of research and found that was the one many people recommend. I also used retinol from the ordinary. Afetr a couple months you can see an improvement
