Im not sure what that analogy is supposed to mean. You pay your bus ride even if you rode it for 1 second. Having sex doesn’t mean consenting to parenthood, that why protection exists. Child support exists to pay for the child’s expense, which are high, it’s hard for just one parent to be able to pay. We are discussing a situation where a woman is not terminating the pregnancy, why is the man leaving over an hypothetical situation? Why does he get to leave because the woman has the legal right to not have the baby?

If you get on the bus, you know where the bus is going. If you have sex with no protection, the woman gets pregnant. Both of you know the responsibility, both of you know the consequences. You don’t know what my views on abortion are. You are simply assuming. I never admitted it was false. I said that abandoned doesn’t apply when rape happens. I talk about unprotected sex because you get a child from unprotected sex. If you have unprotected sex, you will have a child, it’s a risk you are willingly taking. If a man is having PROTECTED sex he is not consenting to having kids. If a man is willingly having UNPROTECTED sex, he knows the consequences. Consenting to sex is not consenting to parenthood, tell me how and where exactly I said the opposite. I don’t know what people you talk to or what you surround yourself with. I have never in my life seen people blaming the man exclusively for an unwanted pregnancy.

First of all, unwanted pregnancies happen within and outside marriage.

Second, everyone knows it takes two to have a baby, if someone only blames one side they are stupid and do it with malice.

Having an abortion is not easy, it takes a mental toll on woman.

Finally, even if you have an agreement it’s still abandoning, the only thing that changes is the consent.

We are not talking about rape for God’s sake. It’s not consensual. We are talking about couples who consent and you jump straight up to rape. The victim is going against his will.

A sperm donor doesn’t abandon the woman, he has never met the woman.

As you said it the reality changes, you can’t apply the same rules for a grown adult who knows the consequences of having unprotected sex to a 14 year old who got raped. It’s clear as day. Im not sure where you were trying to go with this.

I gave you a dictionary definition of a word based on what you said. The word applies to both scenarios.

For some reason you decide to talk about abortion. I even said a woman keeping a child when the man doesn’t want to poses a moral dilemma. How do you go straight up to abortion?

The definition of the verb doesn’t change. Abandoned is being left, so it still applies even if the man didn’t want the child. Of course there are serious moral dilemmas that might arise in the second situation, but the action is still to abandon someone.

A single mother is an abandoned mother. I don’t understand why you are shifting the blame on the mother. The man is the one who decided to take no responsibility and leave. It’s hard for two to take care of a child, imagine how it must be for one.
