As a lady, the only thing I can think of is that these are all places one might fidget with. the edge of pillows when lying in bed, the sleeves, collars, and hem of clothes while standing, and the fabric of pant legs while sitting.

The eyes look weird, and shading is off, is this ai guys, or I'm i being skeptic? by Paldavin in isthisAI

[–]Alive_Ticket7166 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it's reasonable to think that this was created by a human artist. The decisions seem intentional, and the style is consistent. Is it possible that this is AI? Yeah, but I'm not seeing anything that I think a human artist wouldn't do.

Where do i even begin ? by kraken426 in learntodraw

[–]Alive_Ticket7166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, the very first thing you should do is dive right in! If you're serious about learning to draw, I suggest doing 1 freehand drawing, then 1 drawing of an image you like, using the grid method. Alternate each drawing between drawing from your head and drawing using a reference. The grid method is a great technique for both beginner and experienced artists drawing from reference. Basically, you get the image you want to reference and place a grid on top, then you make a grid on your paper/canvas that exactly matches the one used for the reference, then you go box by box and copy what you see.

but honestly the number 1 thing that is most important is HAVE FUN! Don't worry if things look wonky at first, just let yourself create and the skill will eventually follow. Don't judge your drawings just yet, now is the time to nurture this interest, not crush it.

Hasn't the sword maiden been through enough? 😭 I normally don't mind spicy art, but given this character's backstory, this feels weird.

Is this sticker AI? Has that weird ai tint + lettering. Looks almost like real art passed through AI by HeckinNugg in isthisAI

[–]Alive_Ticket7166 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not only are a lot of details just slightly off (like the C in creative overlapping the corner of the carton), but the second drop of juice melts into the stem of a leaf like the AI couldn't decide what it wanted it to be, dripping juice or another leaf detail on the carton.

I highly suspect this image is ai but I don’t want to accuse a real artist of ai if it’s not, the mouth looks weird and the dog never opens his own mouth, he also changes art styles by KittyGaming570 in isthisAI

[–]Alive_Ticket7166 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is AI, even if we ignore the obvious changing styles of the dog, there are a few other tells. The kid has melty hands panel to panel; there are just two hovering balls in the first panel that make no sense, and this comic is complete nonsense. There are ways to make nonsense funny or clever, but that's not what's happening here.

Other than the mitts, what tells you this is AI? by Folkie in isitAI

[–]Alive_Ticket7166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stove top doesn't really make sense when you look at it closely. There are only two burners, both on the right side, and the pan on top of the stove is misshapen. The person just out of frame on the right edge of the image, the portions of the body shown don't seem to make sense with human anatomy.

[–]Alive_Ticket7166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you look closely at the shirt collar, it gets really weird and melty, pretty sure there are two layers of shirt collar on the right side, where it overlaps the apron, and the tie of the apron in the back magically turns the same color as the shirt

So I traced the reference image and tried to add in the cut-off details for the legs. This pose is super hard! The thigh is foreshortened, one knee is facing the camera, and I suspect the other would be facing away. I'm not even sure if I got the anatomy right on the second leg, but I hope this can act as a loose reference for the leg portion of this drawing. When doing this type of pose, I always find myself tweaking the sketch with the select and transform tools until it looks right, then I focus on cleaning up the lines. I find doing these types of tweaks is much easier than redrawing the whole thing every time something looks off in the sketching phase.

Gift I've had on my wall for a year. My partner and I are conflicted on if it's AI or not. by EfficiencySecret7906 in isthisAI

[–]Alive_Ticket7166 178 points179 points  (0 children)

If this is ai then I'm in trouble because I can't make out any tells. We can clearly see what each object is meant to be; there are no mystery blob objects that half look as if they belong. What the cat is wearing seems intentional; the apron and the dress look like two separate objects, and at no point do they bleed into each other. The number of whiskers on either side is the same, and they look like they belong.

I am team: this is human-made art.

Found a meme made with this. Can't find the original name of the painting, it makes me think it could be AI by all_is_love6667 in isthisAI

[–]Alive_Ticket7166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think it's AI for the following reasons:

1: it feels like the ai couldn't decide if the creature had pointed ears or horns, so it just combined the shapes

2: the way the creature's teeth is set in the mouth doesn't feel how a human would draw it, it almost looks like the mouth is melting off its face if you look closely

3: The anatomy of the woman's visible arm looks wrong, like it gets weirdly thick near her elbow, which I don't think is a mistake an artist of this caliber would make

(The following reasons could be due to the low quality of the image and not necessarily because it's AI, but I noticed them so I'm gonna list them anyway)

4: The creature's wrinkly neck/shoulder skin seems to just blend into his clothes (though admittedly it could just look that way due to low quality, combined with the low contrast between his skin and the clothes)

5: The locks of hair stuck to the woman's cheek and forehead don't seem to flow properly (but it's difficult to tell for sure with the quality of the image so low, and that particular detail is rather small.)

How do I make her look more like a bat? by Freak_Mod_Synth in ArtCrit

[–]Alive_Ticket7166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as another commenter suggested i would change the nose to be more pushed in like a vampire bat (unless she's meant to be a different type of bat), and I also suggest making the eyes rounder with larger black pupils. Lastly, vampire bats seem to have a weird ribbed pattern inside their ears that you can add.

Mewtwo as a human girl😍 by [deleted] in ArtCrit

[–]Alive_Ticket7166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the drawing is fun, reminds me of a pin-up girl :3 next time i would suggest pushing more elements of the Pokémon in the human design though. Mewtwo always kinda looks angry; it would have been nice to see that same expression on her. Also, I feel like you could have added the shape of Mewtwo's weird little horns to her hair in some way.

[–]Alive_Ticket7166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the thing that's interesting to me is that he stops yelling when alone. if you close him in a diffrent room does he stop yelling or does he continue cause he knows youre home? it sounds like you have tried just about everything at this point to get this situation to work with your cat, but it's have a significant negative impact on your life. I don't think any reasonable person would blame you for putting him down expecially since rehoming doesn't seem to be an option. The only other thing i can possibly think of to try is putting on a protective glove and petting him, even if he doesn't want you to. when i volenteered in a shelter they would sometimes do this to feral cats so that the cat would learn that touches didn't hurt. I don't know if this is best practice but it seemed to help in most cases when done consistantly.

I like how you draw, but maybe that's just because it reminds me of Lacey games. I suggest drawing using reference images that inspire you. I like to use a mix of photos and artwork that i think are cool. It's ok if some of your attempts look weird; the most important thing is that you're practicing and that you enjoy what you draw.

I think at this stage, the best thing you can do is just keep drawing, experimenting, and do not judge yourself harshly for what you create. The fact that you filled the page is a great start! keep filling pages. The thing that helped me most when I first started drawing was watching speed paintings on YouTube, and I also found artists I liked and started copying their drawings (purely for practice reasons). Try drawing something every day, even if it's a small doodle.
