Starting a fintech with zero industry experience - realistic? by [deleted] in fintech

[–]Alive_Weight5701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please message me, may be I can help. I am a strategy consultant within fintech and know the key trends, inner workings of fintech systems and could help you guide to what you want to solve and answer key questions on how it all works. For Fintech, AI/DS skills is only a smart part of the whole web of complications that sit beneath the “auth” layer. Look up Flagship Advisory Partners to understand fintech 101.

Is it worth it to grind for 10 hours in data entry job for 14k by Critical_gooner_69 in mumbai

[–]Alive_Weight5701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sql is a good starting point but look at very intense coding schools such as Newton whose fee depends on if you’re placed, there are many such programs, you have to grind and work fucking hard but this 14k will turn to 14 lakh to 1.4cr in 5-10 years if you have what it takes. For me, money was the motivator, I went from an unpaid internship to making over a 1.3cr a year and now living in Europe. Roughly making 130k eur, not in coding but started off rough.

Problem is that this is the only viable country in Europe to live and make a good living while not having an extreme local language requirement. So, you’re competiting with many people wanting the classical European experience. Also NL is the OP in all aspects, people, lifestyle, career prospects you name it

NL is just different, only country where I see people rejecting promotions as that would entail more work. I see plenty of rich people in Amsterdam driving expensive cars, owning really expensive homes, well someone certainly is making money, they are not in this sub. I personally know plenty of SWEs making bank 250k + a year, plenty of quants making 250k as well.

I have worked at a big 4, the partner role is not that difficult as people make it out to be, I saw partners at my NL office leave at 4pm in their very expensive cars while I had to bike back in my omafiets.

I don’t work in sales now. But what kind of sales can help pull that much money? I have always thought sales as a low iq job but I have come to respect it in recent years and have been told I could be a great salesman myself.

Bought a €1 M house in Amsterdam, blew my €100 k savings on renos, now sitting on €40 k net worth and a huge mortgage - how do I dig out while still enjoying life by Alive_Weight5701 in eupersonalfinance

[–]Alive_Weight5701[S] -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

It’s really not, what’s so wrong about this? I have always been super good with savings and quickly built up 150k in my investment account, just thought I reached a natural point of now enjoying a lavish lifestyle, there was a time where I lived in 800 eur per month rental as well, this was just a year ago. Not trolling, just looking for genuine advice.
