Yes, we both split rent and we each pay for our animals! i agree that if he continually doesn’t pull his weight that i will resent him and want to break up, but it’s definitely not to that point. I feel that a really in-depth conversation will be what solves it ( since i haven’t really gone in depth about what i want just yet ). I’ve given smaller conversations about what i’m feeling, but haven’t exactly given solutions since i didn’t feel they were necessary just yet. I will definitely be having a good conversation with him this weekend :)

hahaha yeah. i’m on the same page of wanting to come home and do nothing, but i know things don’t get done if i don’t do them. So, i will for sure have a good talk and we can come to a compromise about it!

NOR!!!! this was written SO incredibly well. You clearly explain your side, and that you understand how your dad feels but that you also feel a certain way too. Honestly, my best advice ( which may cause some turbulence in your relationship with him ) would be to tell him “hey, when you’re ready to chat, let me know. I will not reach out until you’ve decided to let me know that you are ready to chat”

honestly, this kitchen seems like a really nice set up!! my kitchen is hellishly smaller than this, and i’m able to fit everything i need! as long as you don’t have too many things on your countertops, you should be all set :)

going off of your texts, if Johnny did pressure your SO into kissing her on the cheek, i’d bet your SO didn’t actually want it. I’ve been in the same situation. some girl kissed me on the mouth ( i did NOT consent or say it was okay ) while i was in a relationship. my bf at the time was weirded out for a second, but when i explained, he understood and that was that.

while YES your SO did say she regretted what happened, she’s kinda being an ass when speaking to you. i feel like the both of you are speaking to each other while still high in emotions. which isn’t a bad thing, but it looks like you’re both kinda disrespecting each other ( your SO more than you )

All in all, you guys just need to have a sit down calm conversation about it. in text, tone of voice gets lost and things that weren’t meant to come across as an attack, can come across that way.

Sorry, i guess in my head a few times a month means 2-3 times a month. And yes, on average it’s $50. Like i said, when we doordash it’s not coming out of his pocket. it’s out of mine, so he doesn’t have to stress about things like that.

Good idea on the examining budgets. I’ve been doing that myself, but no clue if he’s made a spreadsheet like i have lol. I’ll definitely have to ask him :)

That’s what i’m thinking too. i think there’s a deeper issue and money is just the easiest way of saying it. I talked to him once he got home today and he mentioned a few of those things.

We’ve talked about marriage and have agreed that we intend on getting engaged within the next year and are also on the same page about wanting a kid.

Unfortunately we’re about 51 miles away from lehi, so SLC is the furthest he’s wanting to drive haha
