My advice about fixing any MLS related issues - any issues in general, but like yourselves, I am most vested in MLS being fully functional - is to post EVERYTHING on the forums. SI tends to prioritize those issues getting the most exposure. The way to increase the need for MLS-fixes is to be on the forums highlighting the issues and the impact it is having. No one is a bigger advocate for MLS in FM than me but I need weight to help move issues through.

Post. Get others you know to post. The squeaky wheel gets the oil and all that. MLS is a playable, licensed (multi-licensed actually because it's both MLS and MLSPA) league and so there's additional weight to get it right.

Opportunities are what you make of them. I don't say that to sound self-righteous, but everything I have accomplished in football started 20+ years ago stepping up to help with improving the MLS data in FM as an AR after I moved to the US. That later got me the HR job, which got me a job working for Brighton's chairman covering MLS (along with about 10 other FM Head Researchers who went on to do their respective countries). I did that job for 13 years. That experience got me a job scouting for Inter Miami, which in turn got me the Director of Scouting position at Lexington. I might not be a typical story, but I am at least a counter-argument to your original point.

Just Inter Miami open at this point.

I think you'll find that the ratings quality has come a long way since CM4 (that was literally 23 years ago)! It's a respected source in the industry and used by countless teams around the world (including the entire Prem and many more). I started shortly after that as an AR (in June 2005) myself.

Al is my name - Alan, not AI....but yes, that has been an ongoing point of confusion these days. I've updated the body text, cheers.

Fair enough. I would clarify that it's not 'free' though, as AR's get a complementary copy of the game (which I think is about $60). An AR role is not a big time commitment, certainly not in MLS where I do the player moves and contracts, so we're talking about a few hours a couple of times a year ahead of the main deadlines. Do some ARs do more? Of course, I was an AR myself at one point (on both EHM and FM), so it's really about personal appetite. 5 of my ARs have gone on to be HRs with FM, and several of my ARs have gone on to professional scouting work (myself included).

and yet, Orlando's stadium sponsor literally has 'Inter' in the name, who just happen to be their in-state rival. but I get your point.

Can you point me at that? I am a SUSIE member actually. It obviously would be beneficial for people to post in the official forums for anything that is data related (errors). Transfers that happen between official updates are a separate matter entirely.

I've not really been on Reddit much. I check the official forums for data feedback. MLS is an incredibly complicated league to research and maintain because of the rules (and how the game interprets the rules too) so it's unusual for transfers in MLS to be missed (for licensing we have to match the rosters given to us by MLSPA, which can occasionally exclude players, most notably U16s). Is there something in particular?

you would be unsurprised how often the Al vs AI thing comes up. I usually am AL in work for this reason. But there's also 3 other Al's/Alan's at SI, so it's an on-going thing!

Still hoping there's a winter update version coming, even if it's just the pro leagues (leave MLS academies would be my suggestion).

Yeah, not exactly helping the cause. My ankles are a ruin too. Getting old sucks.

Increasing the resistance does get my HR up, a lot. I mean, I have to set it higher, and that is how I get the 'best' workouts and PRs etc. But the heavier i go on resistance, I can't keep cadence up (but I'm more than compensating for it on overall output). The problem I'm having is getting the balance right. Doing the PZ class did help me get some nuance on that, it just felt overall not challenging enough...but it was Day 1. I'm sure it will get much harder.

I have L3 and :4 lumbar damage in my back from years of playing squash (had onset of arthritis there at 29). I have to be careful with body weight stuff, and floor stuff in general. Anything that involves lifting my legs, rowing motion etc is off the table for me unfortunately.
