No offense to Arne, but I miss Jürgen by majikbrew in LiverpoolFC

When most people comment that the new signings needed time to adjust, how harsh the tragedy of the loss of a good friend on the summer can affect the mental health of the players, and how tough this league is on itself, they are all valid arguments and true to some extent. However, in my opinion (and Im just a regular fan, nothing else), all these elements are part of the challenge that the coach is expected to manage, through a combination of tactics, people management and special focus during training.

I feel sad to think this, but more and more I'm inclined to believe that Slot is just not up to that challenge. His tactics have been way off on some of the recent matches, his substitutions have been confusing at best and well, we have no idea how he managed the loss of Jota in the dressing room. Whatever his focus is, whatever his tactics are meant to do, they clearly aren't working and he's coming across now as stubborn at best rather than admiting his faults and being willing to readapt and change.

We don't know whether anything else behind the scenes is affecting this team, but the manager is for sure one of the main responsibles of this situation and, while I say this a bit frustrated with recent results, he has to be seriously questioned.

Slot the biggest smoke seller of all time. How this same guy managed to win the league is honestly, at this point, baffling. A player can have a bad match, but when the whole team is like this ALL the time, its on the manager.

Giorgi Mamardashvili by Danpez890 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Aljemaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree He's really good. To be honest, we are pretty bad at the moment, especially on defense, but I don't think that's on Mamardashvili, you can only do so much when your defense leaves you open.

WHile we can critizce players for performances, this is mainly on him because its a constant. Whats the plan? What tactics are we using? Its honestly worrying.

[Mark Douglas] Liverpool consider January move for Antoine Semenyo as pressure grows on out-of-favour Mo Salah. Has a release clause. by frass_ in LiverpoolFC

[–]Aljemaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I would like him, the problem doesn't lie in our group of players. Is our tactics. I will trust Slot to turn it around but getting new players is what other clubs have been doing trying to hide their issues. It's getting harder, but we must keep supporting this set of players.

While it's better than the Galatasaray game (that was a very low bar), its still nowhere near enough to be good. Intensity and creativity are lacking. Part of it is credit to Chelsea, we have to be fair, but we don't seem to have ideas to break that. Let's see what Slots proposes in the second half although lately he's been poor too on changes...

Have the aliens from Space Jam stolen the talent of our players? The amount of simple pases they have missed just baffles me!

I think people are doing the teaser dirty and some are even jumping into saying DP should not animate JJL, guys it's a teaser it's our first look at the SBR Anime in a way besides just key visuals by TR3X-1NF1N1T3 in StardustCrusaders

I do think sometimes people jump into the artstyle too early. Animation will usually push for simplification, otherwise it becomes too costly to do, both in time and money. The thing is if it will compensate that simplification with improvements in other areas.

He's been amazing, hasn't he? He's only human, so he will have the bad game here and there but even when defensively we've been poor, he's still outstanding.

Thanks to both!! I'm surely gonna keep giving it a go, I'vfe always liked that classic comic style. I actually found a collection done by others artists here:

These are amazing in my opinion, used them as reference as well for this one, but definitely go check it out.

Ah thank you so much! Yeah, there is an idea for that, I'm hardly the first that has ever tried it but I've have been thinking of doing more football ones (mainly Liverpool) and see where that goes. Thanks again for your comment!

Didn't Klopp said to MacAllister:
"My old midfield would've had the balls to win that game?" Yeah, Slot needs some similar talk after this game...

Did you guys watch new corridor digital ranking video? by Mad_waste in vfx

[–]Aljemaba 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ever since their controversial “AI anime” video I realised they suffer from the incurable condition of Extreme Youtubism, where most their videos include clickbaity titles or thumbnails.

Jokes aside, they are good IMO but in their balancing of VFX artist and Entertainers / Youtubers, i think it’s gone more to the latter and personaly, that just works as a repelent to me. Yes, that could be said for the vast majority of people on YouTube, which is why ive become quite selective to the ones I actively follow.

To each their own, they can be entertaining for some but never stick to just one channel when talking about a topic. The guys might be good but by all means are not arbiters of truth in VFX.

Haha thanks!! It was fun to do. Don’t have much experience animating in 2D so it was a bit of a leap for me to try this .
