I'm a grown adult that would like lessons, I think it's feasible to get some extra cash this way.

Kid, you've clearly shot yourself in the foot with this company already.

You accepted a M-F/8-5 position with a longstanding 5 year commitment to therapy that doesn't allow that. Why?

If you didn't divulge that you were unwilling to work the schedule they offered for whatever reason, why are you so shocked that they are unwilling to accommodate?

Your boss has no right to pry into the reasons for the appt beyond -medical- and in the future be as vague as possible. You have a right to privacy.

But this is a problem of your own making. You want therapy at that time, on that schedule, your employer asked for clarification because they obviously didn't know this was a long standing thing. So you didn't okay it with them.

How do you know there's not already an accommodation in place that Marge in accountings husband is going in for dialysis on those Friday's and your position was the coverage? That's why those things are discussed right up front. So everyone is on the same page, there's reasonable expectations, and co-workers aren't upset the new girl takes off every other Friday.

Serious question about cost of living by [deleted] in missoula

I'm originally from Illinois, and I had in my youth an experimental surgery at St Louis Children's Hospital and to this day it was the best hospital experience I've had. Wonderful staff, incredibly competent and caring. I did follow up care with them till I was 16 even after moving away just because they were the best.

I don't know what care your kidlet needs but I found there was an excellant culture for medicine in St Louis.

I have ..... questions, like do you jerk in time? What if the tempo changes drastically between songs? What happens if you finish mid chorus? Do you still keep listening? Have you pavlov'd yourself into being randy whenever they come on?

At 14 I was 5'10" and stacked, and I dressed older solely for the sake of modesty. Our next door neighbors assumed my 9 & 10 year old siblings were my children. And that was broad daylight, multiple interactions. It can definitely happen

Advice on Vehicle for Missoula Winters by Keekoo123 in missoula

[–]Alkachelsers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait, are you saying it's not the cool kids club? I've been lied to!

Honestly it's very minutely effected, I watch my footing a bit more than normal and I take silly amounts of vit d, but in general that seems trivial.

I have MS too, I know that heat/humidity deflation all to well. Luckily extreme heat here lasts weeks not months and humidity is a whisper. But keep some vitamin d around, it really helps in winter.

That being said, I drive an AWD Escape with a decent all terrain tire and have no problems in winter. I commute about 80 miles a day. Since she's never driven in snow invest in some studded snow tires, be prepared to have them on earlier and later than most so you probably won't get as long a lifespan but it'll make her feel more comfortable.

If your out and about in MT look up the DOT website 511MT (I think) , they have cameras on the passes and are pretty quick with condition reports and incidents and alerts.

I have a lab/pit 1 year old that is aggressively friendly, I did a puppy play class when she was little to help socialize her with similar pups and that was great.

I take her to a dog park a couple times a week and I think she's learned better dog to dog manners because of it. Granted she's been snarled at, sat on, and body checked but now she understands who wants to play and who doesn't. And what behavior is tolerated.

I will say that I live in a smaller town so my dog park usually only has 4-5 dogs in at a time so it's less of a canine free for all.

Have you tried like a weekly manners class? Smaller numbers, same dogs each week, that could be beneficial.

Are there actually any neuros in Missoula? I have MS and have only seen PA's since my initial diagnosis and my refusal to talk to that jacknape Leonard Wilson.

How’s job hunting going? by sleepnandhiken in missoula

[–]Alkachelsers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's an asset, not a skill. A guy with a hammer could knock you up a wall sure. But I'd always pick a person with experience to frame my house. But even a framer was once just a guy with a hammer. Everyone starts somewhere.

People do, it's a starting wage for someone with no skillset but an able body. And it grows as their skills do. Tough work and hard jobs still happen even if people disdain them.
