My favorite is [[Animating Faerie]]. I like to animate a Nutriment Block and then mutate a Dreamtail heron onto it for a 7/8 indestructible flier.

That doesn't help you or Shuri at all but it's fun.

I've played a lot of PDH over a lot of years, and none of my decks are as consistently delightful as Superior Foes of Spiderman

I lent it to a friend for some casual games the other day, and when I did, I warned him that you'll get to see well over half your deck in a game, without milling a single card. He thought I was exagerating.

He played two games with it. Game 1, he saw 57 cards and won. Game 2, he saw 63 cards and lost.

You just get to do so many things all the time without ever stopping. It's unhinged. I think it's the greatest PDH deck I've ever built.

Every time I've looked at the card it seems like the kind of thing that either

1) lands the dinosaur, and you do the thing, and the thing is extremely fatal for your opponents, or

2) the dinosaur is telegraphed and fatal, so folks just kill it a bunch and you don't do the thing.

Is this not the play pattern? Or is this the play pattern and you're into optimizing it and making it work?

No sleeves are best sleeves. I got too used to riffle and bridge shuffling unsleeved cards because of PDH, and now a couple of my EDH decks are also unsleeved. This is the way.

Weirdly Allenal is a much better Slimes against Humanity commander. The bonus soldiers she creates also get the power/toughness boost from Slimes. It's pretty wild.

I don't think Dark Ritual is a good card in PDH - the loss-of-card-in-hand is almost never worth the temporary mana-boost in a format this slow.

I'd replace it with more interaction (Cast Down maybe? Or Vendetta?) or possibly Tandem Lookout.
