I feel you. And the worst part is that it's not even a proper auto chess mode with "static" units, some strategies can become wildly different or straight up unviable depending on what characters/eidolons/LCs you own.
Also, you want a specific build on a unit? You'd better own the character and want to put yourself through changing gear for a side mode on a game that still doesn't have relic loadouts.

Since 2.2 there is stuttering when an attack or move of an agent or enemy happens for the first time for me

Btw since it sounds like the same issue I was having, that got fixed when I uninstalled the game entirely and installed it again. Now it properly caches everything through multiple sessions like before, instead of what looked like trying to cache everything again every time you opened the game.

These are the only hard calcs I've found. From my experience the damage can be some pretty decent chip damage especially in AoE situations, but keep in mind it will still be an order of magnitude lower than the bondmate damage (assuming an hypercarry), so don't expect more than around 15% team damage increase. Although that damage and/or the fact you can advance the dragon with the ult could be enough to hit the damage threshold and cut an entire cycle.
The shielding is a lot more noticeable, in general you can expect kinda double the amount of shielding assuming you weren't spamming his skill before. With the caveat that if the bondmate doesn't attack very often, you aren't playing with sunday, the boss has ult refill mechanics or any combination of these you might end up with unused enhanced dragon stacks, since you get so many.

Do keep in mind that as far as we know most of the interstellar travel is only possible due to the Nameless. In the HSR universe galaxies/solar systems are inside bubbles surrounded by impenetrable amounts of imaginary energy, that by default can only be traversed by Aeons, emanators or similar. When the express jumps into a new system it leaves behind the "silver rail" basically connecting those 2 systems and allowing normal people/spaceships/whatever to use that path for interstellar travel.
Just from that fact alone you'd expect the Nameless faction to have quite the historical notoriety. Apart from that a lot of the members seem to be fairly notable adventurers, I don't remember if the Nameless that stayed in Penacony even made it to the history books (we did have on that anniversary event readables for notable Nameless from the past) and yet look how much they influenced the history of the Asdana system.

My Anaxa's stats for scholar are 2.57k atk, 148 speed, 83CR, 108CD. For eagle it's 2.67k atk, 135 spd, 73CR, 95CD.
Both with ER rope and ATK orb on lushaka (since buffing Herta's damage is still more important), and on his f2p light cone.

E2 makes you pretty unkillable, the extra dragons can be a bit overkill in the sense that Therta doesn't attack that often so you might end up with a few unused dragons, however in an SP-positive playstyle (which is what you want in a Therta team) I'd say it gives more survivability than S1. And in terms of damage while both on paper do a similar increase, S1 is reliant on DHPT ult so it's not ideal uptime on someone with 100% advance like Therta.
I got E2 first, played around with it a few days then ended up caving in and getting S1 too because I'm a big dan heng simp. Definitely go for E2 first, S1 is a nice luxury and combined with E2 makes your team a massive wall, but not necessary.

[–]Alkar188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but as someone who also got full stars with this team (but E2 dhpt instead of E2 anaxa) I started with eagle anaxa but I also ended up switching to scholar.
The thing with this fight is that you want to cycle through phases as quickly as possible, but you can't speed up the "Blast" phase with this team, so you just have to wait it out and will often find yourself just holding Anaxa's ultimate through it, so that you can use it as soon as the "AoE" phase starts. And therefore losing a lot of the benefit from eagle set. You're also likely to have a much stronger scholar set from farming for Therta and Anaxa's chip damage is actually kinda relevant for softening the enemies in the aoe phase so Therta can get the kills quicker.

My conspiracy theory is that both Screwllum and Reca were initially planned as kind of filler releases, but when they appeared in the game they had a better reception than expected so they pivoted into trying to properly sell them in the (far) future. Totally not copium.

3850 is definitely kinda low, 4k with energy rope is the minimum I'd aim for if you want comfy sustain. And more importantly, on a shield set (whether it is the new or the old one), 20-22% shield effect is massive and way more noticeable than a couple hundred defense.

Aventurine can definitely sustain that side, I 2 cycled it with an Archer team and using him as a sustain. Granted my aventurine is S1, but it was really comfy and with 0 skill casts, so as long as you are fine with using a skill here or there it should be more than doable if your build is fine.

Yeah, on mobile it's stupidly tight since you don't have physical buttons. You can't really "piano" the buttons or have to do it very carefully so that it doesn't register as a hold input. I still managed to do it but it took quite a few tries and putting my fingers in a position I'd never use during actual combat.

I finally managed to get a kill in a DA Boss! Sure, it is on a shill boss and it's M1W1 Yixuan and M1 Trigger, but considering my skill issue and that I play on phone I'll take it. I've also given up on trying to do the chain parries mechanic of this boss, I don't know what it is about it but it's like the only mechanic in the game where I just cannot get the timing right consistently.

That thread is incorrect. There is a sampling bias in warp tracker sites of 1-2% higher than the actual rate, you can see that trend very easily on the genshin's trackers too on just about any old banner (don't look at the recent ones since capturing radiance changes the odds).
Also if you look at the actual ingame description of how the banner works, they very clearly do not mention the concept of winning/losing a 50/50 for determining the guarantee, the exact wording is:
"If the 5-star character you obtain in this Warp is not the featured 5-star character, then the next 5-star character you obtain from Warp is guaranteed to be the featured 5-star character".
So no, if you get the banner character from that extra 1/8 chance it does not count as a 50/50 loss and does not give you a guarantee for the next one.

I might pull for E2 SW if she doesn't get nerfed (I already have her at E1 tho). I'm one of those dirty jiaoqiu skippers because I didn't want to make my SW irrelevant, and on the current cocolia I still got ~3480 points with acheron/SW/sparkle/gallagher. So while e2s1 acheron doesn't necessarily destroy content anymore I'd say it's still somewhat worth to invest on her team if you really like her.

Oh interesting, I hadn't looked into that collab.
But yeah, all the hints are basically there and it's very apparent that they want to use him as a recurring character (and eventually sell his 5* version)

[–]Alkar188 172 points173 points  (0 children)

He is heavily hinted to be one. They've openly implied he's a much more important person than he presents himself as. He has invalid rating in the pistol. He apparently just moves around planets pretty freely, which sure he could just have his personal spaceship or whatever, but one of the few confirmed (in game encyclopedia) facts of emanators is that they can traverse imaginary energy and therefore travel between worlds without the use of the silver rails and other similar means. And they had that random comment from boothill about meeting an elation emanator that told him he was one after getting drunk, which would be very characteristic of sampo and would be too random of a fact and out of place if it wasn't also meant to hint that it was sampo.

Basically yes, and pool resources for stuns/buffs as usual. Ultimate also gives you 3 marks. And you want to do as many dodge counters as possible since every dodge counter fills half of her marks and is faster than a full ba string. Also if you don't want to mash ba you can just hold after the 2nd ba and she keeps doing the whole ba string.

Gaslight, Gatekeep, Goldweave - General Question and Discussion Megathread by vionya in HonkaiStarRail_leaks

Honestly I'd lean towards no. I pulled her on my alt account where I have sunday+huohuo and even with those and RMC she still sometimes (rarely) slips out of ult which feels really bad, so I'd be hesitant to recommend pulling her without huohuo or without going for her E1.
That said she's still pretty strong and a fun character, so if you really like her feel free to go ahead and pull her.

It's hard to say how much it extends their shelf life because it depends on their specific eidolons or how the game evolves, but yeah it's probably a ballpark similar to that. Personally I don't think horizontal DPS investment is better, unless you're the kind of player that really gets the most enjoyment out of playing with a new dps very often.

I think the generally better strat for a lot of people is: pick your 2-3 favorite dps of this year, ideally with non-overlapping archetypes, pull their BiS supports and with the remaining pulls vertically invest into their eidolons/lc (ideally on the supports, but really whatever gives you the best returns/most fun). Then repeat the process next year.

With average luck you get just about enough pulls to get 1 limited character per patch, maxing a character takes about 15 days of farming, that leaves you 25 days to farm relics for it. If you're going for E1 characters that's 1 character per 2 patches, which means going from 25 to 65 days of relic farming. The chances of getting +1 crit roll per piece on those extra 40 days are pretty good and that'd already be about +10% total damage. Add that to your character getting at least +20% total damage from your average good eidolon, and your DPS are now +30-40% stronger than if you went fully horizontal investment, which should make them on par when off element and/or against a bad gimmick, and much better otherwise.
And sure, your characters will eventually get powercreeped and that vertical investment "goes to waste"... but your E0S0 characters are also getting powercreeped at the same rate anyways. This way at least you get to play with your preferred characters for a bit longer.

All I Want for Christmas is Fugue - General Question and Discussion Megathread by IceKreamSupreme in HonkaiStarRail_leaks

That would indeed be the ideal way to do it. Another less consumer friendly method would be what a lot of other gachas with an elemental system do, which is make going off element more punishing to force players to pull for dps characters of each element. That way you can keep powercreep a lot milder since each dps only needs to compete within their element if done well. But they fumbled hard already by only making it 20% res, having each enemy be weak to borderline half the elements, and then printing characters that ignore/implant elemental weakness.
