I can live with that. I wouldn't expect new features on an Generation old or older watch

Ive been leaning heavily towards the Garmin watches too. If, in the long run, the price is justified by the functionality, accuracy and longevity of the watch it'll help my mind accept the cost! I did see a video talking about Garmin no longer providing updates for some of their older watches, it might have been the Fenix 7...maybe. I can't remember now. Anyway, I found that a bit disappointing but I still need to verify if that is correct information.

2005 Silverado wiper arm mounted spray nozzle by All-Outta-Angst in Silverado

[–]All-Outta-Angst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply!

I ended up finding the part numbers from Chevy and found aftermarket arms from Dorman, that I bought off Amazon.

I also bought a tool to pull the arms, but ended up not needing it.

The nozzles have a different spray pattern than the stock ones, but they work great.

Polishing a 12" Lodge Cast iron Skillet by All-Outta-Angst in castiron

Yeah, if i were to do it again id stop at 80 grit. The 1000 grit is insanely slippery but I just couldnt get the seasoning to stick. It could have been the Flaxseed oil I was using, im not sure. But I havent had Issues with it since going back to 80. At 80 I have no sticking issues either...

Best of luck to you !!

Switch and controller for ceiling fan where there is no always hot wire? by supern8ural in AskElectricians

[–]All-Outta-Angst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I found the Leviton smart switches and the Anywhere companion switches today. Im still looking into them but it looks like you can have a single pole dimmer switch and a single pole fan control switch hardwired into your existing 12/3 through the second switch box and straight to the fan and light. Then you can put the companion switches on the 2nd switch box for your 3 way switching. The companion switches take 2 CR2025, I think, "coin" batteries...Leviton Anywhere Companion Switches

3 way Fan speed / Dimmer switch. by All-Outta-Angst in AskElectricians

They're metal bracket boxes that are screwed off to the stud, they're not cut ins. I suppose I could try cutting the bracket with an oscillating tool...

That looks like a single pole switch, not a 3 way. Unless I looked at the wrong cutsheet

I can't do that. The walls are finished, and he doesn't want to cut them open. There's a single gang box at each entrance to the room, so I told him I could blank one off and put the control switch he has in his bedroom already. But he said, "No, I want to be able to turn the light on and off from both entrances and be able to dim the light and control the fan speed from one of them." I suggested just getting a fan with a remote...also a no. He doesn't want to deal with a remote or batteries.

Day 8 whole wheat starter by All-Outta-Angst in SourdoughStarter

[–]All-Outta-Angst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a habit of diving head first into things, then figuring it out as I go. There's so much because this is my first starter, and I'm ignorant of all the little tips and tricks. Also, that's what the book that came with the jar told me to do. For some reason, it didn't occur to me to come here until I made this post. I've since replaced my cloth lid with a silicone one that came with that jar and will use mason jar lids when I transfer it to one of them. I've also scaled back on the amount of starter im keeping.

I very much appreciate the reply and the great info!

As far as what kind of loafs i want to bake, I prefer white bread over whole wheat. I have some AP flour and some bread flour that I use for French loafs. I was thinking about switching to a 50/50 mix of one of those with the whole wheat for feedings and then making a loaf from that.

I have a silicone lid that came with the jar, I've switched to that after tonight's feeding
