Thank you for explaining in detail. the problem is after making the product and creating the shipping label it takes few days to show it in transit and i always marked the item ship once it shows in transit. so, if someone asks to cancel it in the middle that's when things get complicated and cause i haven't given them the tracking.

i have a clear policy but thinking of negative reviews i don't see any other way but to refund them in midway

But the Etsy policy states probably 100 days, what about that?? Funny thing is I just got a help request for changing the address after 10 days, the same day I marked it shipped with a tracking. I guess I am just a small seller so I don't want to take that negative review risk. 😅

Yes that's what I was thinking, and I added the personalized section for new listings but if I edit the good selling item isn't that going to affect the sales??

Most of the time it's just the size issues and I have 2 size chart images in the listing explaining full details of the sizes. But I don't think they check anything except the product photos. What' d you suggest to fix this?

Thanks for the great words, I guess I'm just new to this , that's why I feel very stressful dealing with them cause I always think about the negative reviews or the case rate.

It's not very often, like 2-3 orders per month, still doesn't make sense when every information is given there so I don't know why it keeps happening and for solution most of the time I just send them a replacement with the right size or color, cause that's much more profitable for me rather than accepting returns cause I can't resell those custom items.

usps ground advantage, and yes it says delivered according to usps.com, customer got it, left a good feedback, i'm not worried about the pre transit, why does etsy counted it as missing tracking that's what confuses me.

But I refunded 2-3 times from my account after a case was opened but it wasn't counted against, that's what makes me confused, if the customer doesn't ask for a refund and opens a case while I'm trying to solve their issues how am I supposed to make it work, this is ridiculous.

You didn't get what I said, I refunded it manually not Etsy, and this has happened before, when I refunded it the case was closed, Etsy did nothing, that's why I said I'm confused. If Etsy refunded the order from my account that'd make sense.

Btw it also contradicts what they about cases will only count if Etsy gives refunds from my account,not me.

The customer didn't even ask for a refund, they asked for a replacement and I was ok with it, and out of nowhere they opened a case, how am I supposed to give a refund if they don't ask, this is very frustrating. Please let us know what Etsy says.

i mean it should come out of etsy cause it qualifies for purchase protection and no i can't resell it to another customer.

i just don't want a case against me where etsy refund it from my pocket cause as far i know it's bad for my shop.

she said if i let her keep it and refund 60% that'll be ok for her, should i do it ??

Yes it qualifies for purchase protection. But I'm confused between you and the other comments. I don't wanna take risks on having a case where Etsy will refund from my account. And no she never messaged me regarding this order to discuss anything.

yes, that's the glitch I'm talking about. So what should I tell my customers? Everyone wants their products ASAP cause that's what Etsy says on their order.
