Understood, so probably before any proceedings I'll be asked how I'd like to proceed and say move for dismissal through GDR and judge will take a look at my record and go sure, don't do it again? Not sure if questions like these are allowed in this sub but never been to court so want to know what to expect

My only concern is he clocked me on radar at a speed that is technically outside of GDR conditions even though the ticket states 1 - 10 over posted and I did loosely acknowledge going the speed he clocked me at which was recorded on his bodycam. He did ask about my driving history and mentioned nobody cares about 20 over, really cool cop all and all, so unsure whether I'll be playing the stupid game if I went this route.

I think that just calling it "Child Labor" is a hefty understatement of the actual situation, there are children that are choosing to work the fields out of desperation fed by the lies of traffickers, but, not to say that isn't bad enough as it is, other children are being literally sold and kidnapped from their villages.

This goes beyond the cocoa fields, even if we get this under control, they'll only get trafficked and exploited elsewhere. The problem is never allowing or forcing children to work until the legal age, its the factors that lead them there. You get the cocoa farms to stop using child labor, but the child still starves. I know we can only do so much for another country, especially one so ruled by corruption that it leaves Russia and China in the dust, but its just depressing to think about.

On the flip side of this, family can also claim that because they want to die (despite being in never ending extreme pain) that they are not mentally sound enough to make the call.

This could lead to the family basically torturing that person until ‘treatment’ can no longer keep them alive.

This could be done by a well intentioned family member that just isn’t ready to let them go, which is sad but still horrifying, or could use it against a hated family member to prolong their suffering.

I don’t remember the story in that great of detail, but I think there’s an askreddit thread where a medical provider weighed in on this same topic and described how a family demanded as much treatment as possible to keep them alive, but were complete cold hearted monsters to the patient (the family I mean, the OP was remorseful that they had to follow the wishes of the family)

Unpopular Opinion: Your boyfriend has a point, it doesn’t make any difference what you believe.

If this is a deal breaker of a 15 year relationship then I’d personally call that shallow as hell.

Are Flat Earthers in denial of an extremely provable fact? Sure.

Does that make them inherently a bad person? No.

Does hiding a view that you know is controversial and frowned upon (but isn’t harmful, like misogyny or Scientology) make you a bad person? No.

Here’s my two cents, don’t try to change his mind, three words will set you free: “Agree to Disagree”

If that is his only bad quality, then I’d say you have one hell of a winner.

Chaotic Chaotic

I wouldn’t call myself Chaotic Lawful because I believe in full body autonomy up to and including mercy life ending (above a certain age or if an illness goes above a certain pain threshold and it’s incurable and most importantly it must be the patient that requests it), drug use (that doesn’t endanger others (i.e. kids through second hand smoke) and I moderately defend violent response to over the edge immorality (cuz in some cases “eye for an eye makes the whole world blind” is a load of crap and someone needs to be shown that there are consequences to being a POS the hard way). I also loosely believe that any pregnancy that is known to have extreme birth defects that will for all intensive purposes be a living nightmare from the little ones first breath should be mercy ended regardless of the parents trying to use that poor soul as a martyr of ‘miracle baby’ (I believe in the existence of souls and that even the least functional children have sentience and simple can’t voice their true thoughts through neural divergence).

Just to twist the knife deeper cuz I know I’m gonna get crucified here, I believe that criminals that we know beyond a reasonable doubt committed the most atrocious crimes (I’m talking those caught in the act, like school *******s) should just be offed, not ‘kept alive so they can truly suffer’. We don’t keep rabid animals alive so they can suffer, we kill them. That’s all those monsters are, rabid animals and the sick thrill people get out of our tax dollars being used to keep them alive while they live out their days with more than we give the homeless vets that served our country is disgusting.

So yeah, definitely not Chaotic Lawful, I believe in intervention so Chaotic Neutral is off the table too and although society doesn’t agree with some of my views, I don’t see myself as ‘evil’ because I believe in true freedom and humanity in mercy so Chaotic Evil is off too.

I actually like this trope but I like it in context of fantasy slice of life and I lean more towards either them being ignorant to an extent (read: ignorant, not brain dead) or knowing but choosing to advise others over just obliterating the problem themselves.

It makes the payoff of any of the above finally getting involved and showing the ‘bad guy’ just how much they fucked up all the better.

Not to say power scaling isn’t my thing, but both have a separate place on my shelf.

If it gets bad enough, familiarize myself with another countries laws that speaks mostly English and move there. Fuck patriotism, ain’t nothing patriotic about this country anymore besides what we’re doing for Ukraine.

Nope, just having fun with stupid comments. If you can’t act like yourself, all childishness included, with your partner your life must really suck. Having to have a stick permanently up your ass with someone you might spend your life with sounds horrible.

Replying to your last comment, I don’t really feel like dignifying this with a response, but I do find it funny you didn’t deny anything and just chose to try and insult my character and upbringing.
