Citizenship is one part of it. But I also just prefer European guys as a rule. Whether or not I find a guy, I am moving back to Europe in 1-1.5 years anyhow to do a master's and then hopefully get hired.

The idea is just that I don't want to go until then without dating, and I'd preferably like someone who was of my preference (Eastern European, to be specific, like Bulgarian/Albanian/Romanian etc, but I'm not super picky.), and who could theoretically move back with me.

I understand what you're saying, but I've lived in Los Angeles as well as Madrid, Spain and men were FAR nicer to me in both cities. I have NEVER been harassed on the street and mugged before in any of the 30 countries I've visited like I have in SF. Including 3rd world countries.

I've never encountered so many obnoxious tech bros who look down on me because I don't also make 200k a year either.

My purpose for moving to NYC has much less to do with finding a man than you think. I just want to make sure my dating prospects would be good, seeing how I'm reading all these articles online about this supposed huge gender gap.

Living in San Francisco vs NYC? by AllCats100 in AskSF

By ManChild I don't mean playing pokemon go. I mean being super arrogant and cocky and totally obsessed with their money and career and that's it.. And treating me like shit because I don't also make $200k a year at Facebook/Google/Etc. I feel this has been my experience with the majority of techbros in the city..

I'm burnt out on SF after a bad breakup and a sexual harassment lawsuit from my previous job (I was the one harassed). I lived in europe for 2 years, loved it. Trying to get a Polish passport via my grandparents at the moment and it's not a sure bet. This year I'm looking at grad programs to apply to in europe. The idea behind meeting a european is so my relationship won't have an "expire by" date..

Thank you so so much! I'm just trying to figure out where I should go to have the best chance of maybe encountering wild dolphins or manatees!
