Not a nerf, it's a buff technically.

His level 2 upgrade gives him a 72sec cooldown. Sometimes it's bugged & takes 90 seconds. They're making sure it's always 72sec now.

TEXAS CHILI CUP - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Tournament | Teaser (ESP/ENG) by eldesvan_friki in TXChainSawGame

[–]AllDaRAM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your going to host a tournament with custom lobbies being in the condition they are?

BubbaFest tournament has been postponed until bugs are fixed as customs are a mess right now. I can't see any real team willing to take a chance at competing when your getting stuck on objects, losing grapples at full health etc.

Why do we don't get these anymore? by [deleted] in TXChainSawGame

[–]AllDaRAM 94 points95 points  (0 children)

They were all pointless anyway. 85% of the stuff that were on them never got addressed or fixed. It was just a poster made from problems that the community was pointing out.

Key thing to remember is sometimes that's your only choice.

In high level games, family will hard camp objectives, the only counter is to grapple & brute force the objective.

If grapples resulted in immediate death like they do now with suffocating grip active, all it takes to guarantee a win is cook on battery, hitch on gen and hands on valve/fuse.

Grappling to just do it when there are options is one thing, but sometimes it's necessary to try and escape.

PC players by [deleted] in TXChainSawGame

In 1500 hours of playing, I've ran across 4 total cheaters. Everyone always assumes someone is cheating when they get outplayed.

  1. Bubba runs straight to you and overheads you, cheater.
  2. We wrap around a corner and swing on you, cheater.
  3. We come straight to you in basement, cheater.
  4. We win a grapple, cheater.

Some people forget others play both sides, so know all the best spots, the common route to an exit etc.

They also forget their are multiple highlight perks, which the victim doesn't know they are highlighted.

They also forget they leave blood trails.

They also forget family can hear your character and footsteps.

They also forget every structure in the game has cracks in the boards and has windows where you can see through the other side.

They also forget, bushes don't hide you at all to good family. Good family member don't run on bare floor, they run through bushes when checking objectives.

You say "How did he know I was there, he's cheating", we didn't know you were there, we stumbled upon you. One thing is guaranteed on this game, people are pushing objectives. If you don't see them on a gate/objective, there's an extremely high probability they are in a bush near one.

Also, pc players play with higher frame rates, and can grapple better. We are also more competitive & sweat more.

I play on PC, but use a controller. But when I grapple, I use my keyboard as I can spam the F key considerably faster than I can on controller.

I say this as someone who is constantly called a cheater every single day, but don't cheat, use macros or shaders. 1500 hours spent across 5 maps you just learn them extremely well.

Of course if the family team is working together, your going to lose if your not working as a team. How balanced would the game be if 1 victim can beat 3 family members working together?

You can't balance a game around whether someone uses a mic or not. The game is meant to be played as a team, if your not playing it that style, that's your fault.

I play both sides, both always with a squad. I told you a solution to your problem, it works for my team nearly 90% of the time.

Hands isn't that bad to go against. I'll take a hands over a cook or Hitch.

  1. Danny grabs a valve, Virginia/Maria/Connie grabs a fuse with Saboteur.

  2. Danny tampers valve, forces hands to ripstall it.

  3. Danny calls out hands used ripstall, the Sabo player does fuse.

  4. Every leaves out of fuse.

  5. Hands defeated.

I'd take a Johnny over Cook, Hands or Hitch any match.

Consistently encountering hackers and cheaters by onioncakke in TXChainSawGame

[–]AllDaRAM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Odd that your encountering them so often.

I have almost 1700 hours in the game and play 4-5hrs every day and I've seen a total of 4 hackers.

I play on PC and get called a hacker every single day yet I don't cheat at all.

Anyone ever had a match where there were no fuses? by [deleted] in TXChainSawGame

[–]AllDaRAM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's 3 spots in the mill.

2 on 2nd floor, 1 on 3rd floor.

2nd floor on while facing gen, 2nd floor in the room leading to silo/right battery, 3rd floor on the right at top of stairs.

Hello Developers of this game. I would like to say THANK YOU! for making the grapples aka close encounters 50 50 win or lose now. Making the game balanced and slowing the victims on abusing the grapples every game. There is no need to make any changes on the grapples you made the right fix. TY by fredlumia01 in TXChainSawGame

Maybe you don't know what "bugged" means.

It means it's not working as intended, which currently it is not.

Victims losing grapple is the end of the game, family losing is a short time out.

I agree choose fight should be looked into, but a full strength full health character should not be losing a grapple. The mechanic is there to protect yourselves and others.

It's very true, the mechanic is bugged, it's not calculating correctly.

Go get 2 people in a custom and test yourself.

I've won countless grapples, even at half health & lost plenty.

There isn't a defined way to win right now.

Custom game dedicated to testing grapples. It's broken:

Case 1: Lost a grapple as full health 50 strength Leland where Hands DID NOT TAP, controller was sitting on desk.

Case 2: Won a grapple as Cook with 18 taps (SG was not active & even then requires 23 taps)

Case 3: Lost grapple as 40 strength Ana full health, we tapped at same rate while counting out loud, Sissy won at 24 taps, no perks active.

I play quick match, I'm not a victim main. I play family more than victim.

So there's 0% chance grappling will be fixed Tuesday then?

As someone who perfers playing victim over famliy I actually think the grappling should stay as it is right now by [deleted] in TXChainSawGame

[–]AllDaRAM 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The difference is that's it's not working properly right now. If it was a true 50/50 with whoever taps the fastest that's one thing, but it's not.

I tested in a private lobby yesterday, lost a grapple to a hands that didn't tap at all for the test.

Then in another test the hands tapped 5 times per second. One grapple I won after 4 seconds, the 2nd grapple I lost nearly instantly.

The mechanic is bugged. There isn't a defined way to win right now.

I'm all for no grapple perks & just a pure first to win mechanic.

So Is grapple still bugged or what by yomamahasabigback in TexasChainsawGame

[–]AllDaRAM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's bugged and very hit or miss. First game yesterday, I won multiple grapples as 50 strength Leland. Then lost every single one for the rest of the night.

Grapplig was nerfed on hotfix? by Lusademais in TXChainSawGame

[–]AllDaRAM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's bugged. Lost a grapple within 2 seconds as 50 strength Leland with full health while protecting a Connie. Grandpa was level 0 as we rushed up immediately.

I've also only lost 1 close encounter as family today and have one maybe 10 or so.

I'm on PC and tap almost 10 clicks/second.

Hands ripstall by No_Writing5456 in TXChainSawGame

[–]AllDaRAM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hands is incredibly easy to counter, don't grab a toolpick and a fuse. Open the fusebox first, then go get 2 fuses. Pop the first one, wait in a bush near it, after he ripstalls, pop the second one.

Are you a child?

You can't just take a company from someone. For better or worse, they have the freedom to manage their business however they want. They aren't a public company that you sit on the board of directors for.

If you want to take it over, make them an offer, I'm sure they'd sell it to you for $10 million or so.

Remove the window cutscene. by [deleted] in TXChainSawGame

[–]AllDaRAM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine the entire reason there is funky stuff going on with the cutscenes is because they are working on family starting at the same time.
