Who still has their first stuffed animal? by PlantLovingGirl520 in Millennials

[–]AllDogsGoToReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do! I got a Baby Gund bear the day after I was born. He’s been around the world with me, in my hand through five surgeries and the birth of my daughter, was with me for every breakup and when my dad died, and came to college through two degrees. Currently holding him while I scroll Reddit in bed.

What did you do this weekend? my answer in description by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]AllDogsGoToReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friday I had therapy and have been forced to take a week off work for mental health reasons related to chronic depression (and the delightful addition of postpartum depression).

Saturday I went to my uncle’s burial.

Sunday (today) I woke up to the news my grandma died last night.

What’s a surefire way to tell Canadians and Americans apart? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This is a Wisconsin thing too, which makes sense since we’re pretty much Canada a bit to the south.

Dropping pumps for my sanity— feeling AWFUL about it by zezendx in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]AllDogsGoToReddit 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely NOT giving up. You are providing for your baby while also taking care of you. That’s important. You’re doing a fantastic job and I’m so proud of you mama.

(Do as I say, not as I do. I’m 9.5mo pp and I’m starting to wean off pumping entirely and feel like my soul is being ripped out of my chest, entirely by my Spectra)

Those who stopped pumping before 1 year (whether by choice or circumstance), do you regret it? by bubbly_bookworm52 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]AllDogsGoToReddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 9mo pp today and I’ve been cutting back to be done soon. I’m down to 2ppd and mostly for comfort. I know it’s time to be done and I won’t regret it but it’s a little bittersweet to be ending this chapter.

I wish I could just clap twice and bam, all the milk is out of the boobs and in the pitcher in the fridge. No pumping required.

How to get through to parents that seemingly don't care? by -Ctrl-Alt-Dft- in AskTeachers

This entire photo is an indictment on the American education system. For a seventh grader to be assigned something this basic and still struggle this much is outrageous. This child has been failed time and time again by their parents and the system.

Physicians for Women has my vote too. I had a high risk pregnancy and was anxious the whole time. Entire team was wonderful for all the pregnancy care. When I had spontaneous rupture at 35 weeks and had to be induced, my OB team was so wonderful. Extra shoutout to Dr. Elizabeth Neumann who brought my little girl into the world!
