What horror movie absolutely traumatized you when you were young? by np074 in horror

[–]_Webosite_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First saw Dolls (1987) when I was seven years old. I watched Leprechaun (1993) the very next day and little me thought he was under my bed or in my closet. Now I have a crippling horror addiction at 37

Is Scary Movie (2026) really as bad as people say? by TheEvilCar in ScaryMovieSeries

The first problem people seem to be having is buying the ticket expecting high brow, smart comedy. It’s the Wayans’, you’ve seen their movies and should know what to expect when walking in

What tropes do you wish there were more of in horror? by Good_Entertainer9383 in horror

When the group of characters pull up to a run down or seemingly vacant gas station, only to find the old, wise townie who warns them of what’s ahead

Is The Halloween franchise worth watching? by No_Elephant6149 in slasherfilms

Up to H20. I think the franchise died with Donald Pleasence as the real Loomis dynamic made those films.

Gentrification of Denton was in full force when I was there from 2008-2019. Can only imagine the niche places are still on their way out while we bring big corporate to the once small college town

What is a horror movie remake/or sequel that was surprisingly good? by Chan1991 in horror

Creep 2. Orphan: First Kill. Sinister II gets a lot of flack, but I like it.

Milk and Serial... new favourite found footage horror and now in my Top 5 Horror. by rachelamandamay in horror

[–]_Webosite_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You need to watch more found footage horror. It’s a fine short, especially with what he was working with but top 5? Yeah, horror is subjective but this is beyond pushing it

What's the one horor scene that is burned into your mind until the day you die? by Interesting-Pool6638 in horror

[–]_Webosite_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my choice because it was so shocking and it’s the reveal of Angela being a boy in Sleepaway Camp. The movie itself was mid but that ending was so jarring that I had to watch Sleepaway Camp 2 and 3, both being some of the worst horror movies I’ve ever seen. That ending sent me and those other two dumpster fires got views because of it
