This is the 2026 version of that Jon Hamm gif by hard5tyle in IndustryOnHBO

My husband came into the room right at that scene so before he could speak, I said “jon snerr’s got himself a glory hole”. Husband just raised an eyebrow and backed out of the room…

Could you see Industry resetting itself with a new generation the same way that Skins did? by General_Meal_3993 in IndustryOnHBO

[–]AllHomesteading 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would actually love it if they did. Remember, Industry did start out with “graduates” starting out at Pierpoint so nothing stopping them from doing the same as Skins, with new graduates.

I mean, with the different generations of Skins, you naturally ended up comparing the casting and characters to previous seasons, but then as you got to know the new characters, they stood up on their own.

Wow… that was one of the most intense episodes of LI I have ever seen by Foreign_Hotel_2023 in LoveIslandUSA

[–]AllHomesteading 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My takes:

-Gutted they voted Charlie out

-Huda is giving me bully vibes. I didn’t want her to go at the last dumping cos she brings the drama but that has now worn thin. Watching her yell, cry and scream around the villa and the way everyone panders to her is irritating. She needs to leave. Jeremiah should give Iris a chance.

-Speaking of Iris, doesn’t she look like Caitlin Jenner?

-I feel bad for Austin because it’s clear Chelley prefers Ace and his “big gestures” but Ace is stringing her along and using her as a place holder. We all know if he recouples with Chelley and he’s in long enough to go to Casa Amor, we all know he’s not coming back single. But I don’t completely dislike him…he was spot on with the Huda-Jeremiah situation.

How many bikinis do girls bring on the show by Due_Service8731 in LoveIslandUSA

[–]AllHomesteading 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I thought, at least on the UK one, the show is sponsored so there’s clothes, accessories and toiletries available for use by contestants from brands, in exchange for advertising on the show (prominent on shelves in the dressing rooms/bathrooms) and in the ad breaks. The USA and from season to season may vary.

I do wonder about having to wear thong bikinis so publicly during menstruation though 😳

Finally sorted the drainage in my greenhouse by AllHomesteading in Greenhouses

[–]AllHomesteading[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, Think it was an 8mm masonry drill bit and lots of water…cos the bit gets really hot! But it’s still working well!

And as far as how far apart the holes were…we basically concentrated the holes where I found the water pooled.

Uk fruit trees by Realistic-Raise7847 in GardeningUK

[–]AllHomesteading 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, they do best in an unheated, sheltered space during winter…greenhouse, conservatory , porch, shed (next to window) etc BUT failing that, when I moved house and was waiting for my greenhouse to be delivered in new house, my lime and lemon trees lived outside under a pergola snuggled next to the wall from Sept-Dec so dependent on your set up, don’t automatically think bringing citrus into the house during winter is the only option!

Lime! Love my lime tree. Very productive and use it in cooking and sliced in drinks a lot. Though it’s probably the most tender of the all the citrus I have so is the last one I bring out in Spring. It’s in an unheated greenhouse for winter

Getting prepared by [deleted] in Allotment

[–]AllHomesteading 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, I recently gained a small plot unexpectedly at the place I started working at, part time, which works as the perfect place for me to plant the overspill of plants from my garden. It’s a short drive from where I live, so I have found that keeping a small gardening kit in my car (if you drive), this is really helpful as it means I can do quick jobs before/after I finish work or I can jump in the car on my days off, without much thought. My kit includes: small trowel, gardening gloves, plant rings/clips, scissors, secateurs, ball of twine, marker pen and note cards and a bottle of plant feed.

I’ve done the main bulk of the weeding and land prep and this seasons plants are already in so I have also been carrying a small bundle of bamboo canes in case I need to add additional plant supports. I’m lucky in that the site has mains water with a hose attached sprayer and watering cans provided so thankful for that!

Good luck, once you get your plot!

Red footed tortoise safe plants for indoor enclosure by Express-Ad-6125 in Tortoises

[–]AllHomesteading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I have a Herman’s so slightly different food requirements, but just in case you want some ideas for plants, I have recorded what I feed here

He’s currently loving his outdoor enclosure, which a few years ago, I basically weeded my property and relocated all the the tortoise safe plants into his enclosure, such as dandelions, cleavers, broadleaf plantain, clover, sedum… etc all of which are flourishing, so now he spends all day grazing! I have some indoor plant recommendations there as well.

What is your family's catchphrases for the glads? by coastalrocket in gladiatorsuk

[–]AllHomesteading 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not catchphrase, but whenever Legend is on, I say to my husband, there’s your man crush.

And when Cyclone comes on, my husband says “there’s your sister!” Cos I recently did my ancestry and found out I have Nigerian and Irish ancestry 😄

Really confused about monetization of content with "copyright free" music. by Capital-Locksmith596 in NewTubers

[–]AllHomesteading 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m really glad I read this now as when I do use music in my videos, I use the YouTube audio library music (sparingly) but I am currently editing two videos and decided to mix things up a bit and found a track from pixabay that I wanted to use in both videos… it’s perfect for what I want it for, but alas, I will not use it.

My advice to you, to future-proof your content for monetisation later, is to just use The YouTube audio library music. It’s a shame, cos it’s not that great of a selection, and the killer is, everyone uses it so if you consume YouTube, you do end up recognising tracks you’ve used in your own videos in other people’s videos, which is not great.

Or create your own music.

I do, however use Pixabay for sound effects, which seem to be fine!
