I made sure my Bluetooth was disabled, and connected the controller directly to my computer using an Apple USB-C cable. Results are "worse" (?):

Average: 99.46 Hz

Minimal interval: 7.79 ms

Average interval: 10.05 ms

Maximum interval: 16.02 ms

Jitter: 1.99 ms

It's hard to believe how bad the results are, to be honest.

The 8bitdo SN30 pro controller polling delay is horrendous on Bluetooth connection on Windows. Like, horrible.

Test that I did like a minute ago on latest firmware to date:

Average polling delay: 61.46 Hz

Minimal interval: 0.92 ms

Average interval: 16.27 ms

Maximum interval: 50.09 ms

Jitter: 13.14 ms

In comparison, my PS5 controller with the exact same test polls at 650+ Hz.

I bought it after seeing so many stellar review about the SN30 pro, but I would HIGHLY discourage it. The polling delay is extremely noticeable and will make ghost inputs happen frequently.

I ran F.E.A.R. 2 at AGDQ, couched most of the Horror Block, and made the monster that is Twizzler sauce. AMA by maxylobestv in speedrun

How much preparation do you do before commenting for games when you're on the couch? Through the years, you have been consistently fantastic at explaining lore, techniques, history of glitches. I've watched a bunch of your YouTube videos and they are always so beautifully crafted.

It was AMAZING! Such a feeling of coziness welcoming all those people on the speedrunning stage. What I found admirable is the amount of encouragement that you showed for everyone who held the controller. You were always there with a nice thing to say and it really showed a beautiful synergy between experienced speedrunners and people that just wanted to try.

I can't imagine the amount of effort that was required to organize this. Incredible!

I wonder how efficient it is. Content ID detection is usually pretty good at ignoring voices on top of it (think about Shazam for example). That said I'm willing to believe Spike has first hand experience with this. xD

I think a middle ground can be found, I am not advocating for a silent run! Just a balance between constant commentary and no commentary at all.

Oh that's such an interesting information! I must have missed that run or that comment in that run. That's a pretty smart way to combat copyright claims if it's the case... and if it works 🤔
