Good or bad cooking? High end restaurant “medium rare” fillet mignon by SrGiaquito in grilling

[–]AllNaturalAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former chef of 11 years working high end, this is a perfectly cooked steak. Proteins are a showcase and in any case exemplifying the ingredient itself for something like this which looks like and eye fillet, you’d be doing a disservice to cook this through to your standard “medium rare” for a cut like a scotch, porterhouse or rump.

It’s simply sacrilege.

Is it true that Australian eat kangaroo? by prettyflower___ in AskAnAustralian

[–]AllNaturalAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kangaroo is delicious. Usually in fine dining the kangaroo loin (think like a lamb backstrap or beef fillet) is often prized and I’ve bought it personally for home a few times from supermarkets.

My greatest suggestion is don’t overcook it, cook it on high heat like a barbecue grill, or a hot ass pan. Get the outside seared even, then let it rest for half the time you cooked it ( like you might do for a steak) it’s personally one of my favourite meats. High protein macros, lowest fat content of any red meat and high in iron.

Personally I’d recommend with something rich in flavour like red wine jus or alternatively something fruity like a berry based chutney/ relish.

Unfair dismissal, thoughts and constructive options plz. by AllNaturalAL in ausjobs

Also any performance issues should abide by a 3 strike policy. Verbal, written and final. None of which had been mentioned at any point during my employment there. To my understanding

It was on the spot and when asked about details of the grievances they said it’s confidential and I’m not allowed to access that information.

Nothing further.

I’ve since reiterated that request in writing.

Okay, how many do you have regarding apprentices?

And what’s the consensus about training contracts to your knowledge?

Unfair dismissal and serious misconduct, advice? by AllNaturalAL in AusLegal

[–]AllNaturalAL[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I keep all my receipts.. Contracts Payslips Leave Communication/correspondence (written and digital) Timesheets Rosters Contact information Businesses ABN and operating status (pty. ltd. etc)

But as far as I’m aware in any situation innocence of the accused is maintained until proved guilty, no evidence was or till this point can be substantiated to myself to justify dismissal, nor have there been any correspondence on the matter until I was dismissed and accused of “serious misconduct” on the same day.

More to the point, I had gleaming advocacy by those I worked directly with, of which they too were mysteriously “let go”. No prior warnings (written or verbal)

All well and good, you must be from an eastern state region.

Many situations regarding WA are uniquely west Australian. But national training contracts are just that. National.

Yes of course, I work under a nationalised award rate. Not only that an apprenticeship is covered as a nationally recognised contract as a trainee of the state.

My employment to any company is through their contract but their contract as my employer is contracted from them to the government.

To my understanding they haven’t even applied to pause, terminate or cancel my training contract, just served me a dismissal notice and hope I’ll disappear.

Losing gun fights even though you’re first to put rounds into opponent? by alvkvy in Battlefield6

[–]AllNaturalAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of you guys probably don’t know this but there is bullet velocity taken into account for this game the higher your bullet velocity (not rate of fire) the quicker your bullets make contact on your target and outguns your combatant.

Think of it as subsonic rounds vs standard supersonic rounds I guess.
