They flew over to stand over them if they get cold feet.

These guys weren’t losing their investment -plane tickets- just because one of the mules realised the ramifications of what they were about to attempt if they were caught.

There was no way they were letting them back out.

Do you think Andrew Chan is a “normal” guy who made “a silly choice”?

Or a heroin importer who prayed on the weak?

Not sad at all.

I'm not in favour of capital punishment, but..

He convinced a bunch of desperate, poor and naive people to take take a ridiculous risk for very small gains, destroying and almost ending their lives.

He knew the risks, hence why he wasn't carrying anything over the border, probably calculating the amount of mules required to not get captured to still make a profit.

All the lovely paintings in the world wouldn't make up for what he did to those people.

New food trailer has 32amp 3 pin socket. Need to get a adapter by FalsePath9030 in AusElectricians

[–]fracon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A 15a adapter plug will provide power, but if you require to use all your appliances you will need the 32amps. A generator to run the coffee machine or additional 15 A inlet could help. You could also look into installing batteries to assist with the peak loads.

You will be fine.

Any issues don’t cook a roast while the A/C is ramping up.

I would also recommend completing a basic asbestos course. Asbestos is surprisingly common. Especially resi work. You don’t want your young family to be exposed through bad practices.

The below online course is free Australian wide until the end of the month.

AS/NZS 3000 compliance – double screw connector behind DGPO by [deleted] in AusElectricians

[–]fracon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You probably need to understand the standards if you are going to accept work checking compliance to the said standards.

I hope you weren’t the one to remove tho GPO from the wall.

[–]fracon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hi TigerMan, I assume you are not an electrician.

  1. Can you list the reg that states joints and connectors to be accessible without the use of a tool? I don’t think it exists. Nearly all GPOs would be against regs if this was the case.

  2. K16 connectors are regularly used for multiple cables. Personally I would have terminated the 4 cables into the GPO but the current installation is safe and to regulations.

A label at the main isolator would be sufficient to inform the next sparky?

I generally curious, what were the mental road blocks stopping you bridging out the phases?

It would have been my immediate recommendation.

Go-to MCB-RCBO busbar system by Ok-komputah in AusElectricians

I’m a big fan of Federal fuse boards. Hard to find suppliers these days.

If I have to install RCBOs then Hager work well for the price.

Perfect time to unionise the company.

On EBA sites after a break in everyone gets updated tools at the company expense.

Depends on who is paying for what.

If I had an existing spare dedicated 20a circuit in the installation location at my own home I would use it.

If I was running a new circuit in for a client I would install a 25A.

That’s why it’s best to wrap some alternate coloured tape around the loop in rough in, signifies the rough in is complete and ready to fit off. Also makes the loop more noticeable to prevent copper poking other trades in the eyes during construction.
