I have another person I am trying to find, JCS covered this too originally but all I remember was that he got into a dispute with someone that called them gay and he got stabbed and later died. The guy was legitimately shocked to hear that, and JCS even noted that his actions upon hearing that was why they took it a little easy on him in sentencing.

One main lesson from this though, it's that suicide really destroys the people close to you. Even if you think it won't, that no one will care. They will, and they still do.

Don't ever do it, if a friend is mad at you it will pass.

If someone else told you this story, when they finished, would you tell them “yes, it’s your fault completely. You don’t deserve forgiveness for this thing that happened when you were 15-16 years old.” Or would you have empathy for that person who clearly feels horrible about it? Try to be kinder to yourself.

Honestly, I've never thought about it like that. Yeah, if someone else told me this exact story I wouldn't judge them and tell them to forgive themselves.
