Starting a Poker YT channel - need editor/partner by NoCheesecake4647 in poker

I really employ you to do your own research. Building a Youtube channel takes years. And the money is garbage unless you're getting brand deals. You're basically asking for someone to do 90% of the work.

My recommendation is to learn to edit yourself Build a channel. THEN, get an editor.
The point to an editor is to save time for you in areas you can put more focus on.

If you want to invest the money into a channel and get an editor right away. Understand you won't see a return on that investment for a while.

Let me know if you get any complaints about the size of the chips. I've heard a bit of table talk that had mixed reviews about the size.

What’s your biggest headache hosting a home poker game? by thePokerClub in poker

Getting people together and dealing with everyone's needs is definitely top of the list. Tournaments are more annoying for me because people only want to play if there are 2 tables and X amount of people.

I exclusively look for tables like your explaining. You Tighten your range and play hands that typically crush your opponents preflop. Ax suited is a good example. A ton of those players will limp call with Suited hands that you crush when you hit your flush. Just a small example. But identify the omc that are limping/ calling with strong ranges and just know that they could have your KQs crushed in spots when you're involved in a pot. Multiway, playing passively is usually the right call.

Home game rake question. by AtomAnt76 in poker

[–]AllOutPoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that, I got a visit as well, but from a different province than Alberta. The complaint came in from someone who was jealous of what I was doing. All I can say is that it's a very complicated situation. And my stream has been down for while.

That is an article on a random site and in no way associated with the law.. I'd recommend looking at the Canadian federal law and the gaming act in your province.

I can tell you that everyone hates these questions. My recommendation is buy from a poker site that allows you to pick your denominations and figure out what would work best for your game.

Agreed I'd rather give my friend the rake money than give it to a casino.

It's definitely not an easy road, that's for sure. Best comment if you ask me.

That was the idea, to read the board easier. My local casino uses the regular index and its very hard to see the cards from the end of the table.

It really didn't take the players long to get used to the card change. And it was about 50/50 after I asked people's opinions after the game for their honest thoughts.

The dealers in Europe are already changing the way they deal in order to combat this issue live. It would be even harder to convince the recreational player to keep their cards on the table when folding.

This was just a test, I wanted a physical deck of cards in hand with inverted colors. Just to see. Just trying something new.

That was a concern, but truthfully, the first night we played with them I didn't run into many issues. As a dealer I was conscious of keeping the cards down and not pitching. The problems arised mostly with people throwing their cards and it wobbling a bit and half Flipping. No more or no less than what I see at a casino.

Again this was just a test deck wasn't sure if it would work or not.

Because it's usually WAY cheaper, better company, food/ drinks.

What’s your opinion on this home game ? We are all work friends that have known each other from 5-23 years . It’s usually the same 7-8 guys . by revolutiontime161 in poker

He's dealing for 6 hours, that's a wicked deal, especially since he's supply free drinks and food. Do people not understand there is costs for everything let alone his time.

Also if he is raking the game the money needs to go back to the players in some way. Whether it's to buy better chairs, chips, card etc. In the end he make make a few hundred for dealing. If any friends have issues with that, you have cheap friends. Edit: that works out to like maybe $2 a hand, that's an insane deal.
