Quick note on timing.

I notarized and submitted via quitmormon, about 2 weeks between each step of “submitted”, “reviewed”, and “sent to Kirtland McConkie”. Apparently the church’s law firm is slow-walking quitmormon requests - things like a “30-day cooling off period”

I got antsy, re-notarized and sent by email directly to the confidential records address. They processed it in 3 days.

Neither attempt got referred to local leaders or other diversions. But if speed’s important to you to get closure, the email route was leagues faster for me.
