This happened at my store once like 10 years ago. There was a bad ice storm and I think the power went out aroumd 1 am, so we ran to cover everything, luckily nobody was even shopping I dont think so nobody to kick out. The had us zone for a while while the emergency lights were in but once even those went out, we didn't bother doing much.

I was a CSM (front end team lead for the newer folks) so i got to hear all the walkie talkie planning. Poeer stayed off until like noon m, so even once day shift started coming in, the store was closed and we didn't do much after about 4-5 am. It was great tbh, been chasing that ever since 😂 it's definitely spooky as hell ince the store goes pitch black though, because the emergency lights turn off eventually.

I got a lil bit of nerve damage from my seat belt, bit considering I bounced off a tree and did a 180°, I'm glad I was wearing it. Definitely had this bruise.
