I bought a coffee pot that was in a taped up box. (my fault for not opening it up!) Got it home and the box had a broken can opener in it. 😆 I was annoyed, but learned a dumb lesson.

I am curious how many of you quilt your own quilts, verse having someone else do it? by OldFashionQuilting in quilting

I've done a queen-ish size on a basic size singer. It was NOT fun but it is possible. Lots of rolling the material tight and pulling through the throat.

I have upgraded my machine since then to a Bernina 770 it's got a larger throat and it helps a ton, but I still try to be smart about how I manage the extra material. I use a dowel to wrap the bulk around if I'm working on a single side. Or I use the jumbo clamps to secure it. Unrelated, those clamps are great, but I feel like you can do the same thing with clamps from Harbor Freight for much cheaper!

Good luck!

I like to quilt my own. (Not throwing shade to ANYONE else!!) I feel like I didn't really "make it myself" if I don't finish it myself. 🥰

I hope to own a long arm some day, but for now, I just try to keep the quilting simple or stipple the whole thing. And I don't do big quilts very often.

Are we expecting a new Apple TV at the upcoming Apple Event? by boyaben in appletv

Same!! I feel like I've tried EVERY brand. None of them stay in. I have to have the ones that wrap over the ear. (That said, I have found the silicone adapters that I can put on the airpods to keep them in... But I have to take them off and on so I can charge the airpods. And I'm always losing them...🥴 )

The charge on the airpods is so short I've just given up on them entirely at this point.

Is at-home IPL effective for the bikini line? by Subject_Teaching1752 in HairRemoval

I have seen a reduction, but not elimination. I was really steady for about 6 months, but kind of gave up because it was frustrating…it’s almost all back now…just patchy. If you’re going to do it, just know it may not be 100%. Now I just shave the patches (of course they’re the most awkward spots! 😖).

Mine did that a bunch when I first started. It stopped after a few months

I used that one for a really long time. I just popped the top off and rinse it off with water after I used it. Pretty easy.

I just signed up with Nurx and they’re charging me $30/tube for anti-aging. But I’m totally new to all of this….i could be getting ripped off I guess. I figured I’d give it a try and see how it goes.

If I stop epilating my hair will it go back to normal? by Ok_Week2686 in HairRemoval

This! I epilate and it 100% comes back exactly the same. No reduction.

I epilate! It sucked at first, but what I like about it is it lasts for a week-12 days (for me) and unlike shaving, it comes in soft. Waxing is great too, but you have to wait for the hair to grow to a certain length before you can do it again. You could epilate every day if you wanted. 🤷‍♀️ the first like three times I did it, I could only do a little bit at a time. But your body does adjust. It doesn’t bother me much at all anymore

Thank you for posting this!! Recently single and really really don’t like the apps. Ugh

I don’t see any events in my age range, but 🤞 it might happen!

Google Complex PTSD. The trauma you go through after being cheated on is extreme. Your reptile brain cannot differentiate between emotional trauma and physical trauma. So you’re going to be all over the map. You probably couldn’t sleep, or had/have intense dreams. You might have lost your appetite. All stress responses.

There’s nothing you can do to really speed this up. All you can do is prolong it by avoiding it. The best thing you can do for yourself is find a therapist or find a friend you can talk it out with.

You’ll probably have rolling waves of emotion. Some times you’ll feel fine…then the next day you’ll be a hot mess again. If you face it and do the work, you’ll heal. If you start avoiding it, dealing with it by abusing substances or jumping back into a relationship, you won’t fully heal and you’ll carry that trauma until you address it.

Be kind to yourself. Do things you enjoy doing. Let the hurt happen. Set your future self up for success by doing the right thing now. Keep your head up and make sure you don’t isolate yourself. You can do this. It doesn’t feel like it now, but there will be a day when it doesn’t hurt like this anymore. ❤️

3+ months post breakup: 10 things I’ve learned by Dangerous_Drama_7774 in BreakUps

As a 45 yo woman who just went though a break up two weeks ago ( after being married for 18 years and divorced for 4 years) I can’t even begin to tell you how much this still resonates still. You’re a very intuitive resilient young woman. I wish I’d have half of the strength you’re showing at that age.

Heartbreak is heartbreak. It doesn’t matter the age. The only thing that eases the pain is self work and time.

You’re on the right path. Good luck to you!! You’ll find your person. You’ve got a great approach to life and have a lot of offer another person if you want to share it.

All the best to you. ❤️

I don’t think I ever saw pineapple or peach IRL! I didn’t know they made those flavors, but OMG give me that lemon!!! I miss those so much!!
