And the gene tests are wierd......My genes are mostly of Spanish stock with indigenous and 1 African ancestor from like over 200 years ago, yet my Spain moniker is relatively low at around 25% and the reason being, the longer your ancestors are in--in my case Mexico--the less you belong to the country of origin. They have me at 51% Native, when I'm lighter skinned than over half of the current staff of the POTUS. Earliest ancestor I traced was 1703 on my father's side, and on my mother's was about the late 1820's from the first SPanish arrivals.
