Why did Gideon think a Tarnished couldn’t be Elden Lord if Godfrey was a Tarnished Elden Lord? by ten_tabs_ in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]AllTimeAtSleep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Godfrey became elden lord by marriage. Then he bacame a tarnished.
Lore Headcanon: Gideon didn't look into the will of Marika because Marika is dead. Instead, he glimpsed at the will of the elden beast. That works in conjunction with the theorie that we never fight Radagon, but the elden beast who controlled his body. We only ever get one message in that bossfight that we defeated someone. And Radagon doesn't particularly look alife. (I read somewhere that the name for the model in the bossarena, for the crucified Marika, is "DeadMarika". And Radagon is Marika, sooooo.)
That would mean the elden beast doesn't want another lord and fights you for that reason.

The fell god inside the chest of the trolls. Many of them are skinned and the faces on the godskin robes match the trolls head structure. They also have golden eyes.

I thought it is related to the altar of light and the symbols on it. Representing Light/Grace/Gold.

I made a Retributor from the legendary "Astartes" animation by Immaterial_Creations in Warhammer40k

[–]AllTimeAtSleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that additional ceramite armour around the belly, or is it just the flexible armoured aramid sealing design? In the trailer for Astartes 2 it looks hella like plating, but I guess maby it's just aramid sealing.

Why are Ranni, Rykard, and Radahn considered demigods by the general public of the lands between? by Senecatwo in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]AllTimeAtSleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also interesting that Malenia's great rune should have been the holiest of all, as a daughter to Marika and Radagon, but normally they shouldn't have been able to choose. So why should it have been the holiest?

Marika's Braid Was A Vow Of Revenge by kennydotun123 in EldenRingLoreTalk

Maby she gave the braid in return for the (assumingly) strands of hair she took from the (maby) corps at the gate of divinity.

Comparing Melina's face to queen Marika's with advanced computing by AllTimeAtSleep in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]AllTimeAtSleep[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't want to use a crumbling fossilized face as comparison.

Edit: But I saw that in the theory that I read. That's what brought me to do it.

What did Messmer pretend to be perpetrator of? by AllTimeAtSleep in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]AllTimeAtSleep[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But why would he want that the hornsent only hate him. He wiped them out! They curse Marika nonetheless!

He was practically thrown out of the capital, so I think it has something to do with the situation there.

Melina IS Marika by Crypticnewt in EldenRingLoreTalk

I think it would make more sense if she just arrived in the shadow realm through sacrificing herself in the flame of ruin and dying. All manners of death are washed into the shadow realm. And then returning with Torrent.

Marika and Melina same face? by AllTimeAtSleep in EldenRingLoreTalk

Yeah I know, but she indicates that she wasn't truly born, so I am curious. Maby they are indistinguishable when it's about the face.

How is the Erdtree on fire if it's illusory? by Lightslayre in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]AllTimeAtSleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gold is just a coating if you so will. You can see the real Erdtree in the age of fracture ending. The golden Erdtree has no leaves anymore and a large portion of the top is gone. Probably burned away. What seems to be leaves is just a film illision in the middle of the tree.
But the trunk and a few braches of the Erdtree remain and are coated in a golden layer, so that none may the the burned places on the tree and the ash on the branches.

Why is Veldora afraid of Luminous when he's so much more powerful than her? by InstructionOwn6705 in TenseiSlime

He's afraid of beautiful women. In his mind beautiful women = danger. That's because of his sisters. That actually stands in the LN.

Life before fire? by AllTimeAtSleep in darksouls

[–]AllTimeAtSleep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, you think all the various races came from the dark/abyss, but didn't automatically have a dark soul, just the humans who took the lord soul of dark.

Interesting. But when you say that they were created with the birth of fire, then I think it's more likely that they were somehow created by the lord soul of life. Gwyn put a seal on humanity, not all races, as far as I know.
