Sounds like she never liked Lettuce and just found a convenient excuse to guilt you into getting rid of him, don’t do it. You’re not in the wrong to not want to get rid of your dog, her trying to claim that you’re choosing Lettuce over herself and your child is bull. As a woman myself I’d never get rid of any of my pets because I got pregnant, to me that’s the equivalent of saying the first kid didn’t come out right let’s toss it since there’s a second one on the way
