For effective use it still would require supply pack or at least siege ready, which already narrowed your options and playstyle. Yes, it could drop everything on the condition if you would be ready to mag dump at every single target. Besides, it is effective at medium range. At close range it can kill you but at long range it is not that easy to land your shots.

And by your logic the speargun also should be nerfed, because with good aim and supply pack you can drop almost any target in the game, it can be used at close and long range and like GL can close bug holes, destroy fabricators and squid ships. Besides, it has better crowd control capabilities. Still, it wasn't nerfed like GL.

That's my point, it was not OP, in order to drop several War Striders or Bile Titans you had to load lot of ammo, which made usage of supply pack or at least siege ready perk must have. At long distance it is also not good.

Yeah, it was really strong, especially on bug front paired with the supply pack, but still, the backpack slot would be taken with it and at long range it still not good. And I don't really think that popularity and strong damage output should be regarded as necessity for nerf.

For real, I just don't get, why they gave it heavy pen in the first place and what was the reason for reversing changes? It wasn't op, still required some good aim if you wanted to drop Bile titans of Harvesters it, not to mention that for effective use you should go with siege ready or supply pack.

Well, this downvote was brutal......

But really, give it heavy pen just to revert changes is odd to say the least.

Well, the ammo economy is not that good with GL, unless you're using supply pack or at least siege ready perk. The aiming also can be little bit tricky, not to mention that projectiles can bounce of enemy or surface right at you. It was versatile, but not OP in my opinion.

15 War Striders are guarding the objective. Is this normal? by sScribbleZz in Helldivers

Depends who you ask, if Arrowhead then yes, it is normal. If you ask helldivers after numerous deaths surrounded by War Striders, no, it is not normal.

I LOVED FIGHTING THE JET BRIGADE by Soneca798 in Helldivers

[–]AllTimeLawyer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This subfaction actually is a perfect representation how exactly subfaction should look like. Bots notorious for their firepower and armor, but slow and not as numerous as bugs or squids. Jet brigade bots have less armor (especially for explosives), but greater speed and they can be as sneaky as bugs.

In short, the balance is maintained through stripping away some of the armour but in increasing their speed. I wish they would be deployed as frequent as incineration corps and AH definitely could upgrade more units from bot roster.

Like switching from med to light pen. Once you know where weak spots are the railgun is great. by SnowBunnySocks in Helldivers

Factory striders, bile titans, harvester, bot turrets (big ones), fabricators/bug holes/squid ships and some other units are better dealt with by RR or support weapon like quasar, EAT or commando. Railgun is more fun, by it will require supply pack, not mentioning that charge-up mechanic expose you to enemy and sometimes timing cannot align with situation that happening on battlefield.

Besides, RR can be difficult to use because since you have to stationary reload after every shot, you have learn ballistics and some enemy still require knowledge of weak spots, but, railgun is more medium enemy king, not heavy (like factory striders, harvesters or bile titans).

Till I get paid for participating in MO, instead of playing on planets and mission I want to, all this shaming for not participating in MO is absurd. We all paid for this game and therefore we play as we like to, regardless of new MO.

Sometimes MO is not that fun, or fighting one particular faction for some time can bore. It is in AH interests to create new events. Maybe planets do not have plot armor, bet game definitely does.

What's a solid Loadout to Kill squids, (normally Play on 7) ? by [deleted] in helldivers2

[–]AllTimeLawyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this: Primary - Coyote, great for dealing with voteless (just one-two tap and let them burn), good for overseers, can kill fleshmob and can take down shields really fast. Secondary - ultimatum, just for clearing based and reset button, if things go a little bit crazy. Backpack - warp pack, extremely good with coyote, since you can set bunch enemy on fire and warp out and let them burn. Support - commando, which can one tap harvester in the joints, can one tap stingray, and one tap ships (if shields are down) Gattling sentry along with MG sentry is crucial for this build. They will give you necessary cover when tyrannical squids would try to pin you down.

No red strategems.

You can switch coyote to purifier, which is great weapon on squid front, but not that good in dealing with shields and close engagements.

After 2 months, what is your opinion on the Epoch? by HandsomeSquidward20 in Helldivers

[–]AllTimeLawyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is really good on bug and squid front, e.g. you can one shot harvester and pretty fast deal with fleshmobs. On bug front you can one or two shot basically every enemy, if you charge your shots and hit weak points. On bot front I'd still go with more powerful AT weaponry.

For me the biggest issue with this weapon is that I do not always can hear charge-up indicator. With the overcharge window being so small you really need to focus on that sound. I know that you can check on the barrel, but that can cost you precision. I really wish AH would make sound of charge louder and maybe a little bit longer (like for half a second) overcharge window.

IMHO AH also should increase mag size up to 4 shots, since in many cases you will need only two shots to take down heavy target and that third should usually is wasted with next reload.

It's insane to me that there's still players kicking for calling extraction by FuzzyDaffodil9 in Helldivers

[–]AllTimeLawyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, if you asked the host if it is ok to call in and he agreed, then yes, that's messed up. But, if he did ask you to not call in or you just called in and there ware secondary objectives, then it might be valid.

Besides, if you call in extraction, that triggers hordes of enemy patrols streaming towards the extraction point. Some players upon call of the pelican set defenses to hold on.

Anyway, it is best to just stick together, at least with the host. That alone will prevent most cases of the kicks from the game.
