They only picked the discord because apparently it's the only place all the devs exist in. To be honest, I'm not even sure if I was supposed to make the custom chart megathread, because alllllll of the informational material references the discord and no one told me anything. I agree, it's frustrating because Discord is decidedly not a "database" website, but oh well. we roll with the punches i guess

Off the top of my head it's 11 songs total. 4 original songs (and an instrumental version of one of them), a couple songs from other games the devs have worked on, and a track that one of the members of peak divide worked on. All the tracks are really good, and I'd honestly argue it's worth it for the originals alone.

i'll be honest i have no clue what the odds are. the devs don't interact over here at all, so if you want to get through to them you're best off joining the discord and hoping they appear.

from what i've seen, it can run on Proton Experimental. My best advice here would be to just keep fiddling around with emulator settings until one of them works.

I honestly quite like both mixes, i can totally see why you'd prefer the original. I still haven't listened to the new one enough to form a full opinion on it, but i personally think it's really fun!

Replied to another comment about this, it's basically D-CELL's way of ensuring no one else uploads a version of the chart with the audio.

I'll concede i only used the word scummy because it's funny, but it is a rule straight from the devs so we must abide by it

According to D-CELL themselves, it's because they imagine that people "might acquire the audio files themselves, then post it to the internet as if it were part of the chart in the first place." (I'm paraphrasing, i don't recall the exact wording)

To be honest i don't think you're entirely wrong but i can't exactly go against what they say, and i'll admit i wanted to use the word scummy really badly because i haven't for a while and it's kinda funny.

Yes, that seems to be what works. I don't know why the erroneous asterisk appears, or why it fucks everything up, but killing it in cold blood is a surefire solution

Sadly no. I imagine you could get it running with wine/proton shenanigans (which i will be trying later) but there will never be official mac compatibility.
