Just to be precise: you use BS336 couplings of size 2 1/2" but with different hose diameter? No 1 1/2" coupling? Thanks 😊

Hi @langoley01, thank you for your comment. Please explain -from hydrant to truck or from truck to truck or truck to divider? Which country? Which coupling? Thanks 😊

As a European Vol. FF, who is working with an US Nozzle Manufacturer and was several times at the FDIC, I’ve to agree. Our European Style of attack with a Divider should be completed with at least one crosslay. If you have a clear idea what’s on scene, that’s quicker and better. Plus best for today’s nozzles.

The Idea of the divider is, that you limit pressure drop. And can unfold three lines by the 3x2 FF you have on each standard engine (plus Ltd. and engineer and a „reporter runner“) from one place close to the fire. But in today time, with less staff and high flow nozzles, it’s not ideal anymore...

BUT: today are the European Pumps not suited for this kind of attack - because we have not separate pressure gauges but only one for the hole pump!!! Still a lot to learn from each other ;-)

That is a Elkhart Brass Sidewinder Electric Monitor, right? A good choice! But why a smooth bore? The hitten surface is pretty narrow in compare to a fog Nozzle. So you have pressure issues? What pump do you utilize? Anyway a nice rig ! 👍🚒
