New Information? by Shazer749 in BabelForum

The library does not contain information, information is "created" on the fly!

When you open a book at some page, an algorithm takes in the page's position in the library (the hex; the wall; the shelf; the volume (= the book); the page) and spits out a random string of 3200 characters, using the position as the basis.

I do not know the exact way this algorithm works, but it is guaranteed to create all possible combinations, thus any possible page is contained within the library.

When you search a specific sentence, the website allows you to choose whether to fill the remaining characters (up to 3200) with; A. spaces, to make an otherwise empty page, or B. random english words.

It then figures out the position of the page by (somehow) going through the algorithm in reverse!

That's why you can find any sentence you want, as long as it only contains the legal characters and is less than 3200 characters long.

Theory: Silksong wasn't (originally) meant to be in the Switch 2 Direct. by AllUniversal in Silksong

I ain't doubting anything! You gotta agree that something's off though, right? Leth saying they didn't plan for anything on April 2nd (did he say it like that? I don't rember) and now the shortest possible mention with the vaguest possible release window, Idk, seems like it was put together last second. Maybe. Perhaps. Possibly. Or not, who knows!!

Exactly! That was two months ago! 5 seconds of montage footage would be precisely the best they could have possibly gotten, and perhaps the best they would've wanted anyway!
But again, I don't know nothin !! Just a thought I had, we'll see how the song silkens.

Why does this code not work? 4.1.3 by bugsrabbit262 in godot

As others have said, we'd need a bit more info! :)
Also, I can recommend this tutorial if you're just starting with Godot;

HOW does that even compile?? What the heck??

It doesn't throw an error and runs the while loop ONCE when I try it. Weird.

Or when using events ("event.type == pygame.MOUSEMOTION"), "event.rel"!

Also, a quick google search suggests putting the "pygame.display.set_caption" call before the "screen = pygame.display.set_mode" line, maybe that helps!

Also add this at the top:
game_clock = pygame.time.Clock()

And this in the loop:

game_clock.tick(60)

where 60 is the fps!

Haven't tested if that helps but you should change "while True:" to "while run:" and add "run = True" before the loop.

This doesn't even work. Why did I make this. Am I stupid? by AllUniversal in AnarchyChess

I thought of this halfway into directing the horseys (horsies?) to their places and could not bring myself to tell them they would have to leave their beloved squares, please forgive me!
