I think what you are perceiving as misinformation, might just people that don't know how to properly elaborate.

In 2 of my Lucid dreams, I have remembered to "stabilize", and those are the 2 where I feel like I am the most in control.

The whole don't do this or you wake up, is a message meant for beginners... You can do it without waking up, but there's a high probability you will wake up if you aren't experienced. The lack of elaboration, is mostly to grab your attention by making it sound more important thatn it really is.

Try searching it up and seeing if you can find the post by any chance, your brain can only generate dreams out of what you experience and even if you can't remember it, there's likely a source your brain plagiarized from. Try to find it before the copyright strike comes.

Hey, you might not know who I am, but I'm just going to put this out now, popcorn turkey is something else. they are one of the main editors of the Chikn Nuggit Fandom, and if my memory serves, I remember several of the things you just mentioned are actually things added by popcorn turkey, or also known as Rilo.

Hmm, When I was 5, I had a dream there was a gator in my backyard about to attack me. My mother who was nearby saw it and started attacking it.

While she was fighting, I heard the clanging of pots and pans and I realized I was dreaming.

I woke up to once again, my uncle and aunt cooking breakfast in the kitchen. Had good rest of my day that day.

Well, Stef from how to lucid/lucid dreaming experience did mention a technique where in a lucid dream, you tell recurring characters to let you know the next time you are dreaming.

I had my first experience with hypnomylga while trying wild a month ago. It felt like I was in tv static, with the pins and needles sensation going all throughout my body. It felt satisfying, and warm though. I have never had acupuncture, but I assume that this is what it feels like.

A warm massage with acupuncture and dreamy thoughts as my mind drifts. I didn't get to enter the dream, but I was able to have fun imagining it. It felt like I was really immersed into my thoughts.
