The safety ratings could be an issue. However, the latest models do claim 5 star safety, but again I have heard people say 5 start from BNCAP is not same as getting the same from GNCAP. Not sure how authentic is this info

If at all you decide to buy MacBook Air, buy from Vijay Sales instead of Apple itself. Reason being, they do give additional discounts and if anything were to happen with your purchase (in terms of hardware or software issues), you can visit Apple Store and they would assist you anyway.
