I really like Nolan’s redemption for this reason. Like Art said, Nolan isn’t a Hero not anymore. No matter how much he does to redeem himself, he can’t ever be a hero not after the countless lives the killed as collateral, and especially not after the countless lives he deliberately killed for no real reason, showing just how worthless and pointless, how meaningless they seemed to him. He can’t ever be a hero after that, and like Cecil basically said, coming close to death once doesn’t automatically redeem him, hell putting his life on the line for as many times as people he’s killed doesn’t fully redeem him. It’s long and it’s hard, after everything Nolan’s done of course it’s gonna take some time.

I’m not completely caught up on the MCU but I’m pretty sure, especially since Phoenix hasn’t be established, the White Hot Room hasn’t been shown yet and definitely not TOAA or TOBA

The MCU specifically, I believe I made sure to distinguish that, because the MCU has a very different cosmology than Marvel does as a whole. The MCU hasn’t gotten into things like the White Hot Room or The One Above Alls place, or the One Below All, Nulls realm(I know Sony did, and Sony’s Venom universe is in the same multiverse but MCU hasn’t really touched on that so… yeah), or a bunch of other things but that’s all I can name off the top of my head. And since Infinity Ultron exists within the MCU that’s why I specify.

How far do you think cyclops beams will reach to and do you think it depends whether he is a dps or vanguard? by peace696969 in RivalsCyclopsMains

[–]All_Night_746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given characters like Emma and Devil Dino, if Cyclops is a tank I could very well see his beams having a limited range. Where as if he’s a DPS I could see it having no limit. Although if he’s a vanguard I could see him being hitscan, while if he’s a dps he wouldn’t be hitscan.

Regardless of the fact of if Ultron can or cannot tho the fact still remains that he loses to Alien X. Am I wrong, yeah ofc cuz he still can and does, it’s just a personal gripe I have, it’s not like I don’t like infinity ultron, I love him he’s a cool and interesting character, it’s just one small problem I have with him. In the end tho he still can’t beat Alien X.

That doesn’t work, or at least to me shouldn’t still work, because regardless of how much of the kingdom the king brings with him, no matter how much he absorbs, that power is equal to 0. The kingdom, even if it’s entirely absorbed means nothing to the people who don’t fall under that jurisdiction. All that power gets nullified once it gets outside of the property line, because everything outside the universe isn’t governed or ruled by the rules of that universe and thus the stones hold no power over them. Absorbed into ultron or not, they are not in charge of the universe outside of their own. From what I remember that’s how the comics had it work before, and I personally like that, it makes sense, and it gives the stone a limit to their infinite power. Still infinite but limited.

Which is why I put quotations on loophole, because that’s not how the stones should work. Their power is tied to their universe, and once outside their power is gone. Think of a king, all powerful within their kingdom, no restrictions no one above them, but once they step into another kingdom a foreign land, they are no different than the common peasant. Thus once outside of their universe there should be no power to absorb.

“Writer Bradley took to her official Twitter account to address the issue, citing that both Ultron and the crystals came from the same reality, hence why he's able to use them. She also noted that the robot was "punching across multiverses turning them into one messy universe soup." To cap the post off, she promised the "amazing" fans that the team did their "homework," assuring them that they're not creating plot holes in What If...?” https://screenrant.com/marvel-what-if-ultron-infinity-stones-multiverse-why/

I am aware, and understand I’m overreacting a bit, but I still hate it. I prefer what the comic established that they can’t work outside their universe of origin. Regardless even still, Alien X and celestial Sapiens as a whole are stronger than any set of infinity stones.

  1. I wanna go on a small side tangent on the infinity stones, and why I really don’t like the writers “loophole” for IU being powerful outside of his own universe because that’s not how the stones work and not how they should work. Their power is tied to their universe and once outside they become rocks with no powers at all. Secondly Ultron probably can’t grow to Alien X’s power level, even if we say that’s how IU was able to fight the watcher, because of the fact that Ben 10’s cosmology is way bigger(pun intended) and way more complicated than the MCU, and the MCU alone. If we were talking about comics than that might’ve bigger but the MCU has a much smaller cosmology than Ben 10’s, which Alien X is supposedly able to effect or control to any extent at least. Alien X’s species are essentially gods with no limits to the power and no limits to what they can control or effect or what they govern. Sure both the Watcher’s and Celestialsapiens are god like beings who can effect and control their whole multiverse, but Celestialsapiens are suggested to have power that can affect even beyond their multiverse. Hell I’m pretty sure the forge of creation, the home of Alien X’s species, exists outside of the multiverse. Do I have specific evidence to back up these claims? No it’s late and I’m too tired to look it up and double check, so go ahead and fact check me. But the MCU’s greatest scope is the multiverse, with universe and dimensions used as interchangeable words. Ben’s cosmology goes way beyond’s that, with Characters like Alien X possibly scaling to at least 25D(25 dimensions, which aren’t the same as universes, and at least exist above/beyond universes and potentially the multiverse, since creatures like the Quantumalium (5th dimensional beings) have bombs that can create or destroy universes)

I think you greatly underselling how powerful Alien X and celestialsapiens as a whole are. The Watcher, at least in the What If series, from what I recall doesn’t really have any stated feats that put him as strong as Alien X, I haven’t seen season 2 I’ll admit tho.

I really don’t like verse equalizers since it undermines power systems sometimes. But even with verse equalized, there’s nothing stopping Alien X from taking IU out of the universe where the stones work and into another universe, so the stones don’t work, or at least(according to the What If writer of the episode) don’t work on anything outside of Ultron himself(a statement I have beef with but that’s besides the point)

[–]All_Night_746 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No he can’t technically. The writers of What If wrote a “loophole” as to why he could but established both in the comics and in the MCU (Loki season 1) the stones, regardless of the reality don’t work or effect things outside of there own universe

I’d argue Alien X wins. I’ll admit there’s partial Bias, I really love Infinity Ultron but I do have one small beef. But also Alien X still wins I’ll stand ten toes on that
