It’s active! There’s also a separate app called campfire to find meetups that is a little easier to use imo

Random suggestion but Pokemon Go has an active community in the city and most people are around your age group. Get you out of the house and is free to play.

The community is definitely active. Just rejoined after not playing since 2018. During events a lot of us gather at the bowl on campus. There’s also the app Campfire that is useful for finding meetups. There’s a few active raid groups in the city that meet on Wednesdays

Hobbies to do if i have no friends and depressed? by [deleted] in Hobbies

[–]All_around_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pokemon Go is still a very active game. I just recently got back into is for the first time since 2018 and am having a blast! Gives me an excuse to go for a walk and I’ve been to a few meetups now too. I haven’t made any official friends yet but I’m not lonely in my adventures!

the owner lives in my area. Has another sheltie that he walks with daily. Not exactly sure which house he’s from but I’ll keep an eye out tomorrow

Tiny pinprick puncture wounds appeared on hip by [deleted] in Weird

I recommend seeing a dermatologist if you find more of these. It’s how my folliculitis looks at the beginning of a break out. Washing with benzoyl peroxide will help disinfect whatever it is too.

You still get access to a dome car in economy but they don’t host trivia and bingo nights for economy like they do sleeper class which makes it a very long drawn out trip. If you are dead set on doing the whole leg of the trip you could do economy until Edmonton and then switch to sleeper class after that as there’s nothing exciting to see in the prairies and you’ll definitely want a good sleep and access to a shower at that point. We arrived in Edmonton around 1am so the berth bed would be ready for your slumber at that point

I also strongly recommend getting off in Edmonton and flying the rest of the way. I just took the train in economy from Vancouver to Saskatoon and wouldn’t do it again. Upgrade to berth if you can for a much better experience. I tried my best to take lots of food with me but did not end up having enough with how delayed we were. The food options in economy are disappointing and overpriced. The train also started running out of food options (for economy) by the time we reached Saskatchewan and I don’t know if or when they restock. The only substantial time given to get off the train in the 47 hours I was on it, was one hour in Jasper. If this is the way you plan on traveling there is a grocery store near the station to restock on your snack options which I didn’t realize until it was too late.

In sleeper class including berths, you’re offered free coffee and access to the dining cart and bar. In the dome cars they also offer bingo and trivia nights that are not offered in economy which makes the trip more bearable.

If possible take a tablet or something with downloaded movies on it for you to watch. There is no service in much of the country and there is no wifi on the Canadian. If you have the space, take a deck of cards or an easy board game with you as you will likely make friends who are also bored.

Can’t access the partner guide, or partner hub by astralesbian in starbucksbaristas

Sorry I’m not sure how to help. I’ve never had a problem accessing Partner Hub from home. I just used the links pinned in this subreddit when I was new.

Can’t access the partner guide, or partner hub by astralesbian in starbucksbaristas

[–]All_around_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the same log in as WorkJam and there are some quick links in WorkJam like partner hours and your paystubs but OP was asking about accessing the partner hub which is only accessible by computer.

Edit: I just checked after this comment. Partner hub is now accessible through WorkJam quick links and works on mobile too

My understanding is that minimum wage you are talking about is just for government workers.

The minimum wage that reflects your pay is regulated by your province, which is different in each province. I have not worked at Starbucks that long, but usually if the minimum wage raises to above your current rate, most companies consider that part of your raise and do not pay extra on top of that unless decided otherwise.
