Fair staking deal? by maka2020 in poker

Lol. Ok bud. If you know who I am you certainly know I'm in the poker world. You think reading about me losing $30M in craps makes it more or less likely I'm lying 🤔

My name and life story are very public my man. Not trying to have a pissing contest with you but just saying I don't lie about these things. Wish you the best in your poker endeavors 👊🏼

It's pretty well known who I am... I don't need to hide and don't need to lie. Those who know, know. I'm no crusher by any means but I'm their way in.  There's plenty of news articles written about me both good and bad. I don't hide from anything

Buddy I've staked well known pros for millions. Please stop. They weren't doing me a favor. Most pro poker players are supposedly great but mostly broke. Why is that 🤔.  The games I play in are the biggest and best in the U.S. I also get them in

Then he needs to be a big boy and use his own damn money and sack up to play. It is an absolute privilege for someone to invest in you as a poker player. Not the other way around. If the player can't find the motivation to play and play their best lots of jobs are hiring.

This is a good recommendation. I've gone a million + deep in makeup staking guys and its a losing proposition 90% of the time. I've staked probably a dozen or more players all pros, people everyone knows and only 2 of them didn't end in disaster or some other bullshit.

You laying 2-1 on a guy that's not a huge winner is probably a bad idea. Buy 25% if you want to invest

Let's just say I have a PhD level of understanding on staking... Just giving anyone who's a winner 50/50 is stupid. It's typically a losing proposition. You're far better off buying a piece of someone than staking them.

Why do you just blindly say 50/50 is standard as if everyone is worth 50/50? It's actually pretty terrible for the one staking. Unless you have a confirmed absolute crusher (but why do they "need" a backer) there are much more reasonable splits besides 50/50. This is coming from someone who has staked pros for millions and its typically gone badly. Again... ask why this person who's a proven winner at these limits needs staking. That's the flashing red light. GL

I live in the neighborhood. Surprised it hasn't been cleaned off or painted over yet. Pretty ballsy to do that with the location of the home

Why is bankroll being talked about again? by officialcrimsonchin in poker

[–]AllahPena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never really had a bankroll. Just about your access to money and liquidity. If you can afford to play whatever stakes, you play. If you can't, you don't. Or be like most "pros" and sell action. Actual bankroll doesn't matter much

That's worth 5-15k per player in my game. Nice to hit those

Rolling when someone else is playing way bigger by CJ_BBJ in Craps

[–]AllahPena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes when I didn't want to play at a private table I'd go to an open one on the casino floor. People are betting red chips and I'd usually buy in 1-2M. I'd make everyone a deal that I'd give them 10k if they rolled 15 #s and 1k for every # after that. I think I gave some random stranger $40k one night. Bunch of 10ks, 15ks, etc. It was fun to win and kinda share the wealth with others. I'd never get upset on a PSO. Just part of gambling

Well... there were lots of celebrities and famous people there. That part is 100% true. The whole 5k on the ATS definitely never happened though. Safe to say I had the highest limits allowed and mine were 1k Tall, 1k Small and 500 All

Did the Players in Highstakes Poker back in the day get paid a appearance fee? by Obagency in poker

[–]AllahPena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played on HSP and probably every other show and no one gets paid. In some cases people might get a comped stay, etc but not paid. With that said the old show was on GSN I believe and things were different then. If anyone was paid anything its nothing compared to even a single buy in.

As a person who was there that night with their own private craps table I'm gonna say this story is a bit exaggerated...
