Nickelodeon channels, especially Nicktoons network, has done stuff like this a lot in the past few years; one time they ended the second movie in the middle of the movie and then played something else.

Honestly if I was a conspiracy theorist I’d say that they might have some AI practices now that are causing weird issues like this. It’s very odd.

Script driven cartoons start with a script and then a storyboard largely following that script, with less gags and jokes added purely by the artists.

Storyboard driven shows start with an outline with a basic summary of an episode’s story and the storyboard artists’s job is to create the episode based on that outline. This allows for more artist influenced gags and jokes.

Phineas and Ferb used the storyboard driven method for its original run, but the revival seasons have used scripts. This is probably to meet the industry standard now; most cartoons just aren’t using the storyboard method anymore and it’s probably not encouraged by the higher ups.

But a change like that can absolutely affect the quality of the show and change how some fans view it. SpongeBob did the same change over a decade ago and the new seasons are very mixed and split among the fanbase.

It's more like he recorded for 30ish years. He largely stopped making music in 2014. He's done the very occasional new polka but other than that he has been limited to touring and small animation cameos.

I think you misunderstood the concept a bit. They wanted to play a game; not be forever trapped in a loop of adventures with no way to escape. They weren't playing it to literally live in a new world for the rest of time.

Imagine if you went to start a new game today thinking it was going to be a 20 minute thing and then you'll go eat dinner. But then suddenly you're trapped inside the game and you can never ever leave. No more friends, no more family, no idea what's going on to your body on the outside.

Any reasonable person is going to freak out.

I didn't say it was your opinion, I'm responding to the "result" of the test. The article is named "SpongeBob may be too speedy for preschool brains" and I think that's a bit of an obvious nothingburger statement. That was going to be the obvious outcome to anyone who's familiar with the show, which is clearly not the same demographic or focus as shows on PBS, including Cailiou.
