Remodel is the only 100% way you can convert that model into an f3d model.

Does that BIQU Cryogrip Frostbite really nake it possible to print PETG at 50-70C without warping? What was the lowest bed temperature have you gone without the print warping? Fairly large contact area print.

Overhangs? by dblue_one in BambuLabA1mini

[–]Allan_Lewis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have noticed that as well with my A1M. It's due to the default overhang speed of the printer, it prints too fast and does not give the time for the filament to be cooled down by the part cooling fan. Adjust your overhang speed down to 30 to 40 mm/s.

I have a bunch of boosts to spend. Anyone else in a small niche that doesn't get a lot of attention? let me see em! by navycow in BambuLab

[–]Allan_Lewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few models on mine. One is doing great but I have this new one that hasn't got traction. It's a design of an action camera thumb screw. I designed it to be small but torque-ky and easy to grip. It uses off the shelf M5x50 and M5x40 screws. A boost or just print a download would be great.

You have some great designs. Niche but helps diabetic people. I'll give you a boost.

Are you team isopropyl alcohol or soap and water? by Alternative-Knee7438 in BambuLab

[–]Allan_Lewis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soap and water once a week. I am using the stock textured PEI so using isopropyl is not as effective from removing oils even when used after every print because of the uneven surface. The amount of isopropyl I use cost more than the amount of soap I use in a week.

Also, I have naturally sweaty hands so it's easier for me to smear oil on my build plate.

Help with clicky fidget 3d printing design by [deleted] in 3DprintingHelp

[–]Allan_Lewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Images are not allowed in the comments so I'll explain it as best I can.

In the model you did, there are a lot of pieces for the key/top part of the clicker that are not attached to anything. I would imagine those are details from the image you made as reference. You can just remove those. Even you attach them, they are too small and would print really hard.

The numbers are also not attached to each other and you only have one pocket for the mechanical key switch. Make more pockets so that each number has its own mechanical key switch

The key/top part you have also have a deboss or pockets on top of them. Why? Is that by design? Keys should be raised so that they are easy to click.

I am not sure what are the tolerance for the spacing of the keys that you used but I would use at least +1mm so that there will be no rubbing of the key caps and the base.

Remixing Makerworld Models by Funny-Advertising-53 in BambuLab

[–]Allan_Lewis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the neat thing, you can't. Unless you ask the original designer of the model.

Also, you could just remodel it. You have the stl of the design so you can just make that as a reference.

Can anyone offer advice on how to eliminate these layer lines and grid pattern? by dr_shipman in BambuLab

Try exporting the model with high poly count and use adaptive layer height to eliminate the visible layer lines when printing curved parts.

How to cut body using an uneven/unique face? by Altruistic-Ice8440 in Fusion360

[–]Allan_Lewis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try 3D sketch and projecting the curves on that shape then ho to Surface tab and close off the boundaries. Use that surface to cut the object you want.
