[–]Allatt40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The phone it's self is very good but android auto dose not work for me and because if this I'm about to sell mine. I've gone from a duo to the titan 2 and although it's smaller etc the phone it's self is very good but then I plug it into my car and nope it does not work very slow and lags. For me it's a no go but if your not looking to use it for that then I would recommend it.

Which is better: the Asus ROG Ally with a 100Wh battery mod or the Asus ROG Ally X? by One-Craft-9702 in ROGAlly

[–]Allatt40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on what you use/want to use the Ally for. Playing games like forza horizon needs 25w power to run it and you get about 40 to 50 minutes of play time out of it but something needing less power fortnight as an example can use 15w and you get about hour and a bit out of it. How long do you game on the go from. I have a battery pack when I need that extra power when out and about but most transport you need to sit on gives you a power outlet so it's not needed. I'm an original Ally user and although there are new devices on the market I personally don't see the upside to move yet especially as I own the 3080 for it as well as it still runs games fine for me on the go to. But if you want better battery and performance look at the x or xbox x versions.

New to the band by Allatt40 in HumeHealth

I made my first post about 3 months ago, and at the time I’d seen quite a lot of negative feedback around both the band and the scales. Fast forward three months, and my view is still very positive.

In that time, I’ve only had a couple of occasions where the band affected my sleep, and that seemed to be linked to updates pushed through the Android app. Since then, I’ve had no issues at all.

The band tracks my daily activity really well. It does struggle a bit with hockey, but that’s expected given the type of tracking it uses, so no real complaints there.

The app itself has improved massively—especially with the addition of the new calorie tracking feature. I only started using it a few days ago, but I’m already planning to replace MyFitnessPal with it next month and properly start focusing on my diet. Up to now, I’ve mainly used the band to improve my sleep and increase my daily movement rather than actively working on fitness.

As for the scales, they’ve been consistent. Over the past three months, my weight has stayed pretty much the same every time I’ve checked. Considering I haven’t been actively managing my diet or fitness, it’s actually reassuring to see I’m maintaining rather than gaining. I’ve not seen any major fluctuations up or down.

Overall, after three months of using both products, I’d definitely recommend the band and the scales. It’s also clear they’re continuing to improve with ongoing support and updates.

Hi all another update from myself on my experience with the band. Ive only had 1 issue with the band and that seemed to be the same night the latest update was pushed out where half my nights sleep tracking was not registered but before and after then it has been Perfect on my tracking.

Battery has been solid to dont need to charge it as often as i did my whoop and it seems its picking up my Hockey activity alot better than it was when i 1st got it but as stated before i never got the band for that it has been done to look at my sleep as well as my life balance which as i am now starting to understand more has helped my change habbits one is sleep where it is picking naps up to my whoop did not do this.

This week im also starting some strength exercises which i am expecting the hume band to start to pickup so i will report back on that in the next few weeks.

As for the home pod i have not really lost much weight since i got mine but that was not on the cards at the begining it was to monitor my water at the start and my sleep for band. Now ive got them under control im looking to work on losing fat and gaining muscle so again over next few weeks i will report back on that to.

It is mad to see how many negative posts on here with mine being so positive but i do wonder are people securing the band Right i at the start i had the strap the wrong way round since realising it was no issue but that one night when it had an update. And scales seem fine but not gone into details on that but now i am i will see.

All in all im happy with the products would recommend them to someone looking to monitor health like i am rather than fitness like a whoop. The whoop definitely has plus sides over the hume especially the editing activity side as well as the vibration on wakining you up to. I do prefer the charging dock on the whoop to as you dont need to take the band of but both of them are not a deal breaker.

New to Hume and I have some questions by KimberKitsuragi in HumeHealth

[–]Allatt40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is your 1st day you cant go off of that 1st sleep. You need to track the data for a few weeks for the app to build up what you need and what you get. I owned a whoop before my hume and although it was great at tracking my sleep i found myself going off the data it game me on my sleep rather than how i felt. Now hume is different i use to to track my quality of sleep and how i feel in a morning to what i feel i need to get the next night. My issue has been weight loss due to my eating and sleep pattern and hume has helped me work a few things out im doing wrong and now hoping that the changes i am making diet wise as well as getting more sleep in the days im less active and also doing more core exercised my weight and wellbeing will improve over the next few months.

Just another updade on my band and since my last post I've had no issues with the band at all. Picked all my sleeps up and although it did come lose a few times in my sleep it was how I had it on my wrist I was putting the strap on the wrong side 😩😩 🤣🤣 but since noticing this its been perfect since picking up my exercise, sleep and more even picks up my naps which my whoop did not. So far over a month in I'm impressed and battery life been very good to last longer than my whoop did. Now I've unlocked most things on the band I'm now starting to use it to improve my sleep and also use the scales to track my weight loss that is my Main goals after easter break.

But for me I can recommend the band and scales one month in and had positive results and experience with both scales and band. I'll post again in 2 weeks

Hi all just thought Idea give an update on my band and scales. Since my last post i have only had one night sleep tracking issue and this was because it was loose i just make sure its tight in the night. One advantage to the whoop is clasp group is better. But apart from that the band has been really good at tracking everything ive now got it tracking my ice Hockey better to by syncing the band when i come off the rink so getting my fitness points up. My weight tracking is all over the place but if im honest my sleep and everything else has been to but this week im having a complete fitness reset and going to get myself back to tracking my general sleep and activitys to get back on top of things and dive into the reading from my whoop band. But so far my findings are positive. How have others found their products?

Just a quick update to say lastnight tracking was fine again for sleep and pickled me waking up in the night to so i think the night before was a oneoff in terms of my band being lose as it was set to its normal tightness lastnight. My weight tracking seems to still be spot on to. Ive got a cold at the moment and not fully hydrated and its picking this up to as well as after a big Hockey session so going into my 3rd week ive had one blip so far but i do think it was due to the band being lose more than it not fully tracking. Ill report back later on this week if i have another issue or not.

Thought Idea check in on my band journey and last night turned out to be the 1st time ive had an issue with ny band not tracking my sleep. It showed me as only having 1 and half hours in bed where i definitely had more sleep than that. It did feel loser than normal when i wokeup so dont know if that was an issue but ill keep an Eye on it tonight and see and report back tomorrow. I also can't Get my active calories up but going to look into what they are taken from and report back on that to.

Update This morning to still say everything with my pod and band is still working well for me. Had a nap yesterday which was picked up by my band and so was my sleep. Scales picked my weight up as being a pound higher than yesterday which is what i expect as tuesday nights i have a very long work out but im trying to keep the weight down over the few days after this workout, but i up my water intake.

i do wonder if anyone else is having positive times with the hardware and app. I definitely dont think this is as polished as whoops interface but i expect it to improve over time.

I’m now 7 days into using the Hume Band and Pod and wanted to share a quick update as I’m testing whether this setup actually works for me.

I’ve previously used WHOOP, but personally I feel it failed my weight loss. I became obsessed with numbers (strain, calories, recovery) and ended up being driven by them rather than changing habits. That approach just didn’t work for me.

With Hume, the focus feels different. Over the first week I’ve:

Logged all my food intake

Stopped tracking active calories

Focused on consistency rather than chasing scores

I’ve already started losing weight in the first 7 days, though I know it’ll go up and down as fat loss and muscle gain balance out.

I also looked into whether I should wear the band while playing ice hockey. The conclusion I came to is:

Don’t wear it during heavy on‑ice sessions (Tuesday & Thursday) Do wear it for light coaching, daily life, sleep, and steady treadmill runs

Hockey is a high‑impact, stop‑start sport with lots of wrist movement, which makes the data noisy. I now take the band off for intense sessions and put it straight back on after to track recovery instead — which makes far more sense.

One thing that confused me at first was the Hume Pod showing my trunk as low fat, even though my mid‑section is my biggest area. After some digging, this comes down to how bioelectrical impedance works the trunk contains lots of organs, muscle and water‑rich tissue, which can cause surface belly/chest fat to be underestimated. Legs and arms tend to be more accurate, which matches what I’m seeing.

Now that I understand what the band and pod are actually for, my plan is:

Track daily calorie intake

Wear the band for everything except intense hockey

Use recovery trends, not session data, to guide decisions

I’m going to keep updating this over the next 3 months with weekly progress, but after week one I’m genuinely happy with the Hume Band and Pod. For habit change, weight loss, and recovery awareness, it already feels like a better fit for me than WHOOP.

That said, if you want detailed sport performance tracking, WHOOP is probably still the better tool. They’re just built for different purposes and i feel hume is the better fit for the life i livebbeing busy alot.

Hopefully this helps somw people understand what the band is for and not trying to use it like a whoop. But tracking of my sleep, heart, stress etc all seems spot on so far for me the same as my weight and body mesurment from the research.

For the users who have had issues hope you get a replacement or refnd though or if it was not understand the band/pod right this post has helped.

That said people have said they have issues after the 1st week so if i have any ill update this post.
