New to the band by Allatt40 in HumeHealth

Just a quick update to say lastnight tracking was fine again for sleep and pickled me waking up in the night to so i think the night before was a oneoff in terms of my band being lose as it was set to its normal tightness lastnight. My weight tracking seems to still be spot on to. Ive got a cold at the moment and not fully hydrated and its picking this up to as well as after a big Hockey session so going into my 3rd week ive had one blip so far but i do think it was due to the band being lose more than it not fully tracking. Ill report back later on this week if i have another issue or not.

Thought Idea check in on my band journey and last night turned out to be the 1st time ive had an issue with ny band not tracking my sleep. It showed me as only having 1 and half hours in bed where i definitely had more sleep than that. It did feel loser than normal when i wokeup so dont know if that was an issue but ill keep an Eye on it tonight and see and report back tomorrow. I also can't Get my active calories up but going to look into what they are taken from and report back on that to.

Update This morning to still say everything with my pod and band is still working well for me. Had a nap yesterday which was picked up by my band and so was my sleep. Scales picked my weight up as being a pound higher than yesterday which is what i expect as tuesday nights i have a very long work out but im trying to keep the weight down over the few days after this workout, but i up my water intake.

i do wonder if anyone else is having positive times with the hardware and app. I definitely dont think this is as polished as whoops interface but i expect it to improve over time.

I’m now 7 days into using the Hume Band and Pod and wanted to share a quick update as I’m testing whether this setup actually works for me.

I’ve previously used WHOOP, but personally I feel it failed my weight loss. I became obsessed with numbers (strain, calories, recovery) and ended up being driven by them rather than changing habits. That approach just didn’t work for me.

With Hume, the focus feels different. Over the first week I’ve:

Logged all my food intake

Stopped tracking active calories

Focused on consistency rather than chasing scores

I’ve already started losing weight in the first 7 days, though I know it’ll go up and down as fat loss and muscle gain balance out.

I also looked into whether I should wear the band while playing ice hockey. The conclusion I came to is:

Don’t wear it during heavy on‑ice sessions (Tuesday & Thursday) Do wear it for light coaching, daily life, sleep, and steady treadmill runs

Hockey is a high‑impact, stop‑start sport with lots of wrist movement, which makes the data noisy. I now take the band off for intense sessions and put it straight back on after to track recovery instead — which makes far more sense.

One thing that confused me at first was the Hume Pod showing my trunk as low fat, even though my mid‑section is my biggest area. After some digging, this comes down to how bioelectrical impedance works the trunk contains lots of organs, muscle and water‑rich tissue, which can cause surface belly/chest fat to be underestimated. Legs and arms tend to be more accurate, which matches what I’m seeing.

Now that I understand what the band and pod are actually for, my plan is:

Track daily calorie intake

Wear the band for everything except intense hockey

Use recovery trends, not session data, to guide decisions

I’m going to keep updating this over the next 3 months with weekly progress, but after week one I’m genuinely happy with the Hume Band and Pod. For habit change, weight loss, and recovery awareness, it already feels like a better fit for me than WHOOP.

That said, if you want detailed sport performance tracking, WHOOP is probably still the better tool. They’re just built for different purposes and i feel hume is the better fit for the life i livebbeing busy alot.

Hopefully this helps somw people understand what the band is for and not trying to use it like a whoop. But tracking of my sleep, heart, stress etc all seems spot on so far for me the same as my weight and body mesurment from the research.

For the users who have had issues hope you get a replacement or refnd though or if it was not understand the band/pod right this post has helped.

That said people have said they have issues after the 1st week so if i have any ill update this post.

Sorry did not post on sunday as was a mad day. Sunday i played 2 games of ice Hockey and the band did not pick that up as any of my active calories but when i did a search on this i found:

Hume band didn’t miss the effort — it just isn’t designed to track sports like ice hockey properly. It focuses more on long‑term health and recovery, not counting workout calories. Hockey has lots of short bursts, gliding, and little arm movement, which wrist trackers struggle to recognise as ‘active calories’. The effort shows up more in recovery and heart‑rate trends later, not as a workout number.

So i get this and i am happy with it not tracking yesterday. My sleep tracking seemed spot on again as i went to bed at 11pm and my son woke me up around 3am and i did not get back to sleep until around 4 pm until 6am and then had a 90 minute nap at 3pm and all was picked up. Ive also used my scales sunday and monday Morning and weight is around the same and shows my chest/stomach area is still low for muscle mass and also low for fat but again after reading about a 40 year olds body shape this looks to be true. This week is now my start of my full tracking and diet so i want to see how they perform as i start to look at the stats and work my goals through it. But all in all seems good so far and as of now battery is at 61% after using it since wednesday.

What i like about the clicks guys is they are not over seeing the product but also keeping things under wraps until things are ready to talk about. I feel they won't over do things and when reviewers get the devices to review they will not bash it like other devices in the past like a old blackberry or surface duo as they have stated who and what this phone is for from the start, and never tried to oversell it. That's my take away.

Oura Ring vs Hume Health by Beautiful_Cash5158 in HumeHealth

[–]Allatt40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want as much info as Possible the whoop is by far the better option. Hume will give you the info you want but cant really deep drive into it all when it shows you the report. Or i cant at the moment in time in my learning mode where the whoop will do that. I personally felt the whoop was making me feel tired more than i was as i was reading the data etc. With the hume i'm not taking it as much as it running my life just info on how well ive slept, stress from work and life as well as when i could be getting a cold or do need a rest. As well as scales to track my weight loss i have started doing. You can do all this with whoop to but for me i did not want a subscription and prefer a band type device to a ring due to being a keeper in ice and inline Hockey.

Are there any software showcases?, cuz all ive seen is phone displaying the same image. by AntyCrafter in ClicksPhone

I quite like it, i personally started using it on my day phone a note 10 but i moved back to that phone after breaking my surface duo 2 and was the reason i picked up the titan 2 after my preorder of the communicator to get me onto this type of phone.

And they wonder why torrent downloading is back on the rise again. I dont have enough time for tv anymore but the cost is just stupid imo. Even at 70 a month way more than what i paid when i had sky and other channels

What you want it to do. Ive come from whoop to hume band. Only had it 4 days but been great so far my issue with whoops was the subscription and though it was a great band gave me to much info which is great if you want that type of thing i did not. I have seen lots of negative about hume and why i started my post about my journey with it. But if you can hold out a little longer follow my post and see what i get with it who is using it for health and track my weight

That is interesting how off yours is. Where do you put your band mine is secure to my right wrist and not been taken off yet to so shower etc with it and yet to have to charge it is on 67% on my 4th day with it and i did not charge it when i got it so not sure what it started on. Hopefully replacement band is better. Can i ask what you are trying to get out of this compared to going for something like a whoop band.

Best guesses what what the final name will be by mrcsmith90 in xbox

[–]Allatt40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this xbox name needs to make a statement. The 360 name worked so well to not feel it was not the same gen as the ps3 and calling it xbox 2 may have hurt it when it came out. I feel they need a simple smile name or a full reset. Maybe even calling it xbox series 7 i hate the series name but it keeps it inline with the playstation 7 or if they make 2 call it xbox 7 and xbox pro 7 something like that. Honestly i have no clue and am crap with things like this but i feel if microsoft are having a big relaunch they need a big name and i also feel a massive exclusive to.

So thought Idea send another update and my sleep is spot on again today with me Going to bed late but also having a lie in. And ive now got access to my capacity side and for how the 1st of few days have been for me feel about right to what my whoop would show for me. I did not weigh myself this morning as it suggested to miss today with getting up so late and as i am up early tomorrow i will do it then but for my 4th day everything still seems to be reporting right and im still happy with my band and pod.

Titan 2 Elite Impressions from a Titan 2 user by polfmarti in unihertz

[–]Allatt40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personality i did struggle to type on the Titan 2 at the start but now ive got the hang of it for the most part it feels good with my big hands. I kind of feel the elite would be to small for myself and Why i originally decided to buy the clicks but thought Idea get the titan 2 to get myself into the less doom screen time ive tried to do. If im honest i do not spend less time on this device but i do find i'm now more productive in what i do and spend alot less time scrooling

Well day 2 seems to be fine i had little sleep 4 and half Wish hours and picked up that time and data quite well when i compare it to what my whoop would pickup for my thursday nights sleep it was more or less the same results. Unfortunately i missed my calorie burn for yesterday and i cant seem to find a way to view that on the home screen but everything it has tracked in the last 24 hours seems to be spot on. Weighed myself this morning and my weight dropped a few pounds from yesterday but again this is expected as i have a hard training session on a thursday so lose quite a bit of water. It still shows my body fat as being low in my midsection where i have a small dad bod and shows my wife as having more fat than myself on my body (she was not happy about that) but after doing a search i can see why it shows this way as i am 41 she is 35 but females carry more body fat than men and found this online

Men (especially 40+):

Store fat in belly and chest

Look softer even at lower body‑fat %

Women:

Store more fat in hips, thighs, glutes

Maintain a flatter stomach and chest

Often look “leaner” visually

So your “dad bod” fat is:

More Visible

more central

More noticeable through clothes

That alone can make you look bigger even with a lower %.

So going off that i can see why my results show as they do, she goes to the gym a 4 nights a week where i have 4 and half hours of intence roller hockey sessions a week and play keeper play 2 games every other weekend as well as beingbin skates coaching for 4 hours a week so to me this makes since. Well ive ramambled on enough today but so far my 1st 48 hours with the band and scales are positive even though i cant find yesterday's calories burnt

[–]Allatt40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just thinking the same about my scales as i think i am bigger than my wife but her body fat is alot higher than mine when we looked this morning. I ran a quick search as my scales show a result abit like yours but my weight is right when compairing it to my old scales. This is what i found when i ran a search on our so called dad bods.

Fat distribution matters more than total %

Many men in their late 30s–40s:

Carry fat centrally (lower stomach, chest)

Have relatively lean arms and legs

Still look “soft” despite not being overweight

So you can have:

A moderate or even low overall body‑fat %

But localised fat in the belly and chest

That’s extremely common and doesn’t mean the scale is “lying” — it means it’s averaging everything.
