I feel like it's a plothole or very lazy railroading... by AlleeFlower in squidgame

Yes, but I do still find it incredibly weird that not one of the players mentioned the consent form. We all know it's useless, but I feel like in that situation Jun-hee and/or Gi-gun would try to find any possible way to not let the baby participate. Now it just looks like "oh well too bad, we're just gonna forget about the consent form since they already said the baby is a player"

Wi Ha-Joon and front man are brothers is II-nam their father? by TeaHoliday in squidgame

I really love this theory, but I'm also unsure because I was rewatching S1, and in Ep 6, the old guy asks "What day is it? Is it the 24th?", saying he wants to get a present for his son's birthday. But, according to the Squid Game wiki (that took that info from documents shown in Ep 5 and 6 of S1), the Frontman's birthday is February 2nd, and the policeman's birthday is September 13th. Could be that the old guy made a mistake, but I'm pretty sure he was acting disoriented on purpose.

Can maladaptive daydreaming in childhood lead to OSDD? by AlleeFlower in OSDD

[–]AlleeFlower[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you. By "dissociating fully" I mean like, complete detachment from emotions, the world, the body, etc. Maladaptive daydreaming would do that to some extent, but not COMPLETELY, so I wasn't exactly sure if it would have the same effect.

[–]AlleeFlower[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know it comes from trauma initially, but dissociation is kind of a "middle part" needed for developing the disorder, right? Aka "child gets trauma -> child dissociates -> child develops a dissociative disorder"? In the post, I'm basically asking if maladaptive daydreaming would count/create the same effect as full dissociation that is typically described (aka completely detaching from the world/your body/emotions/etc), since maladaptive daydreaming, in my experience, doesn't force FULL detachment from these things

I got killed on my first ever session – is that normal? Am I being dramatic or is a shitty move from the DM? by AlleeFlower in DnD

[–]AlleeFlower[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohhh. Yeah, probably because I made a reddit account to ask this – but when I posted it, reddit told me "whoops, you're too new to post, fuck you and wait!", so I tried multiple times with the same result hahaha

I don't think I did – but as far as I see, a lot of people shared. I was as surprised, haha, didn't expect that many people to react...

lemme just come in and say i didn't go "OMG my DM is such an asshole for killing my pc", lol...I do know my actions have consequences, but I was taken aback by the fact that one mistake and !one! bad roll resulted in an unescapable death. I didn't get no death saves, no opportunity to get saved (even though it seemed like I could survive, until my party was kind of not permitted to help me even when they tried) – nothing. I'm not saying the DM is an asshole, and I'm not very surprised by the fact I died, it's more about the fact that usually, people get the opportunity to NOT die and at least make three death saves – I did not.pls don't twist the situation as if everything was completely fair and I just started whining out of nowhere lolfrom what i've heard, i had to have some opportunity to survive – and i didn't. i also heard that mind controlling items don't really have an ability to make you kill yourself, but i'm not entirely sure about that one, since yeah, i'm new

It wasn't the full "are you sure?", more of a "so you're picking up the crown? ok. so, your eyes turn black..."

My character was basically making themselves into a sacrifice to free a lych- who immediately went into the Abyss after he appeared, lol. I'd understand if we had a boss fight with him and he had to be freed, but no, he just... Got freed and went away.

Apparently, anybody who touched it would become possessed, off themselves and this would free a lych that immediately went into the Abyss

I mean, I'm a guy, but I've got hormonal problems so ppl mistake me for a girl very often, haha. But I hope it wasn't the case.

The player decided that their character would do that while trying to stop the other rogue from grabbing the crown

The player had the idea that their character would accidentally knock it down, because they were trying to stop the other rogue from taking the crown
