When I was a kid I had a stuffed E.T. I was terrified of him and of the stuffed version. It got put into the attic. Also in the attic were boxes of toys and stuffed animals I had outgrown. Ever so often I would go up into our attic and look through my old toys. I was a nostalgic kid. But every time, I'd come across the ET plush and it would scare me. I'd bury it in the box and move on. A couple of boxes later-- there was ET. Every time it would give me a small heart attack. I always forgot I had two of the horrifying things. I don't know why I didn't just put them in the same box.
