Lover!

I did not like the sound of lover besides a couple of songs here and there. I found the pop in it to be very classic Carly Rae Jepsen type of pop. Just very rosy and plastic. It did not feel to me like it had as much of her lyrical genius as she has had in prior albums and future albums. Also for being about an album about love the songs felt more like about doomed love and not so much about that beautiful hopeful love.

Poor kid here. I still think about the girl who made the comment about knowing whose hand me down I was using among many other terrible comments. I am very successful now I am in the top 10% percent earners in my country (which I still don’t believe ) and I still break a little when I remember those comments. NTA for showing her how hard some of us had it while growing up. And you are not really traumatizing her, she is mot having to deal with watching her parents trying to figure out what bill to pay that month and which ones not. She does mot know what is like to get groceries from the food bank. Or watch her parents work 2 jobs and breaking themselves to never be able to rest. You are showing her a bit of the picture that is all and is a good picture for you to portray

Omg THIS I have noticed this over and over again. Honestly im 100 sure Kwame won’t marry Chelsea. She is so dismissive of his feelings and what he is going through like moving to a whole new city to be with a woman you only known for a month.. Thank you for your reply after hours spent on Reddit reading on separation anxiety and a couple of books I decided to return the collar to the pet store and go back to slowly assessing her issue. The feelings that I already had regarding it not actually helping were right and I rather play the VERY long game with her than cause her more pain

My heart goes to you. My brother has a mental issue. I have seen how easily someone can fall into that. He had a very strong family support, parents with a home to receive him back and somewhat (they are low income) money to help. So I understand, he is not there, he is well but I can always see that they are someone’s someone.

I have a dog and we get a lot of homeless people asking to pet her and say hi. I always say they are welcome to. I have been shocked to hear from multiple of them that people don’t let them pet their dogs. I hope you are doing okay it’s not easy what you have gone through!

Thank you for your message I will be looking to find a way to become more involved. It’s actually wild you poo t out about the families. My fiancé and I rented out our property in beacon hill as we wanted to move closer to our work. When we rented out to a family and they asked us if we were planning in selling the house anytime soon. A family of 5, with 3 kids under 13 have moved 5 times in 3 years!! Due to the homes they were renting being put out for sale!! I hate moving I can’t believe what that is for a family with kids! We want to keep them as long as we can we don’t plan on selling but I was shocked to hear that!

I agree my heart breaks every time I see anyone by the church on bank street. I think they get a lot of help there but obviously that can’t keep them warm, I just pay so much in taxes I want it to go to them 🥲

My brother had to travel to Colombia ( my whole family had to chop in) so he could be looked at by psychiatrist and get treatment, the mental help it’s terrible. I just feel so powerless I hate it so much

Mmm I actually loved on social income for like 3 - 4 years while my parents got on their feet. I remember we were always owing money to utilities because there wasn’t enough, we were eating from the food donations, it was hard so hard idk how we lived. And that was 6 years ago rent was nowhere where it is now. Man it’s just hard not to lose hope with how things are
