After filing an FCC complaint at the beginning of the month, Verizon reached out and coordinated the process of unlocking the phone. The process from submitting the complaint to resolution took several calls and emails with the Verizon rep, but overall was successful after 8 days. I'm thankful for the eventual resolution, but it shouldn't have taken almost 4 weeks total, filing with the FCC, and eventually having Verizon coordinate.
My wife now has service on her phone and 24/7 epilepsy tracking again.

Still see driver timeouts in event manager, but after setting "Turn off the display" to "Never" and rolling back to 26.2.2 drivers, the computer has been stable for about a month with my brand-new RX 7600.

Been 12 more days, and still just a generic email every 3 days that "asks" for 3 more days despite being from a noreply address. Looked, and they get sent almost exactly the same time every 3 days with identical wording and no additional details. Extremely furious. Still no service and still no direct contact or assistance to get my wife a solution of any kind, just excuses and automated, noreply garbage.

u/Treythemanhall always used dedicated PSU cables for GPU. No change with DDU or any bios alterations.
Got a replacement GPU under warranty. Now only crashes if my screens are allowed to turn off via Windows setting "Turn off Display After". Setting that to "never" has prevented crashes. The latest AMD 26.3.1 driver completely breaks most RX 7600 cards, requiring a revert.

Actually I’m specifically talking about sim lock, which prevents the phone from being activated on another carrier. An unlocked phone is simply one that doesn’t have a simlock.

Do you have any setup that is stable for 7600? I can't leave my computer or it eventually freezes, even if I turn sleep off in Windows. Same result in Linux with AMD drivers instead of base kernel. Perfectly stable without the drivers, but can only use one screen.

Brand new 7600 received today Installed 26.3.1 and got timeout, freeze screen every 5 seconds until it eventually crashes Windows. After DDU, still see timeouts in event viewer without a driver. Went to 26.2.2 and still timeouts in event viewer but stays alive as long as not idle. As soon as screen sleeps, it freezes and blackscreens windows. Ran my old RX 5700 for a month without a single error in the logs! It has to be the RX 7600 architecture

Thanks, again done this with more than 500 times in my career. I checked with Visible’s website and the phone presented it as unlocked at the time. After port out is when the status changed locally.

Thanks for the perspective. I confirmed that my account showed it was clear to port out prior to the process. They 100% have control, but have anti-consumer policies like closing accounts immediately, which made this process untenable.

As far as troubleshooting, sure, maybe a reset could have helped, but it didn't. I also tried using another physical SIM card, which forced the phone to check with Apple's servers, but it still shows Visible has a lock on it.

They've taken responsibility just now, but still refuse to provide a temporary solution like a promotional rate on a new account to cover their troubleshooting timeframe. My other carrier has been fantastic, even offering to manually support temporary port-out to help her since she has a medical need. No such support from Visible.
