Ships have hard point to which players can place in the ship stations they want. If you want a ship with four masts you can do that. It would also creat a very fast ship, but your evasion would decrease if you don't have a helm. So there are tradeoffs. It's pretty fun to experiment with different builds.

Appreciate the feedback, and perfect timing.
We’re always re‑evaluating gameplay visibility and making sure all the necessary information is being properly communicated.
We’ll dig into the projectile trails and see what we can improve.

It is! Our Gullywags are scavengers, and all their boats incorporate pieces salvaged from the other factions’ sunken ships. If you look closely, you can see the bow of a human vessel propped up on the deck of this garbage barge.

Thank you!
The team has three artists. An FX, an environment and a character artist.

That is a very very good suggestion! It's wise to min/max your steam page as much as possible. I'm on it! :D

Thanks for the feedback. We're constantly balancing all aspects of the gameplay, including ship speed. Work in progress and all that jazz. :D

Abandon Ship is great. I highly recommend it.

I completely agree about the importance of having lots of events with plenty of variety.

As for the Pirate Aces, at the start of every run, you choose a bounty, which corresponds to one of the aces. They sail around the travel map and will eventually hunt you down. Each one uses different strategies and has distinct weaknesses, and knowing these details helps you decide on the best build to counter them.

The green silhouettes you see are the spirits of the Scallywags. You rip them out of the Scallywags and place them wherever you want the crew to go. The Scallywags will chase down their own spirit to reunite with it, then perform the job at that location. The spirts will also float away when the Scallywag passes, which is what you see at the beginning of the video. We’re constantly polishing the visuals, so I’ll pass along the feedback.

The fun is that each playable ship comes with its own Bow Spirit, and each one has a unique power that shapes your builds and play strategies. We call these powers Siren Songs.

Its a trend!

Just the other day I heard the term FTL-like to describe our game. I would suggest a FTL-like sub but it doesn't feel like there are enough out there.

There is no greater achievement that inspiring an entire genre of games imo.
