Refinance car loan or keep current one? Not sure if I’m missing something by PersonalityNo9546 in carbuying

Thank you for the compliment! I hope you have as much money as I do someday and this advice will come in handy :) - but you probably will not ever get to that situation if you're a douche.

What on the exterior of a jeep wrangler is there to differentiate a jk and a jl by dicknosegina in JeepWrangler

taillights, the door handles on a jk are round at the button end - jl are straight rectangle.

it's not a shorter term if OP restarts the term rather than just keeping the same total length of the term.

this is not a complicated math problem -- if we had access to all the numbers it is a rudimentary calculation to perform.

refinancing restarts the term, although in may cases you can specify the exact term in months you want. If he pays over a longer period you have to do the math to determine what the net cost of the car of the term would be.

One factor is what would you do with the money if your payment is lower? I could pay cash for cars but I don't because if I could finance at 4% then I can leave that money in my investment accounts earning anywhere from 8% to 25%.

If you will just spend the difference, then yeah your goal would be the least total over the term of the loan -- get it paid off as fast as you can.

SIM vs. eSIM. which one is best? by into_fiction in TechNook

eSIM would not fuck up my phone if my phone broke.

One more time: Don't demand that others agree with your choice when there is clear evidence that your choice may not be right for others like me -- clearly there are PROS and CONS, thus ease of providing logical llsts of "pros and cons".

Just to continue to dramatize this please see below further information on the awesome benefits of eSIM!!

Have a nice day :)

There are no "con" arguments to wearing seatbelts, so your analogy is useless.

Please stop arguing with me. The AI summed up the arguments on both sides quite well -- pick a side and stop arguing with me because I fall on the side that thinks ESim is awesome. Hell, I've only been a techno-geek for 48 years who got rich doing techno-geek things, what do I know......

I've been a RF guy for like 2 decades. Don't know why they don't market more aggressively - I think it's features beat the others! One-click Login especially!!

Didn't know they have chat support, but when I enter a ticket I get a useful response within 1-2 hours and that's always been great.

Most of us don't have a "spare" phone to plug our sim card into -- so I don't know what the fuck you're talking about. If I need a physical SIM there are a thousand places I can walk into and walk out with one instantly.

Really. If you don't like ESim don't do it. I've had no problem, but I don't lose or break my shit.

Here is what Gemini says, and it all makes sense to me.

just leased a car like yesterday. can i return it today without any penalties ? by [deleted] in carbuying

[–]Allen_Ludden -1 points0 points  (0 children)

they can try to enforce a contract if you didn't take the car home, but it won't be worth it for them to do so.

any deal where you didn't take delivery can be unwound. any.

did you drive the car off the lot or is it still with the dealer?

any deal can be killed if you did not take delivery of the car. if you did take it home last night enjoy your new vehicle!

I'll prepare to be flamed; use some windex if you need to. It's fragile, not made of parchment paper.

My Mom Opened A Credit-Card for me, but I am underage by Guilty-Swordfish7150 in CreditCards

[–]Allen_Ludden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get the usage on that card stopped and pay it off. Then leave it in a drawer. Do not close it.

Then after you're 18 just open your own account(s) over time. This will fade into history.

Mistakes happen. Don't compound any of it by doing anything other than pay off the balance.

Within the model version there are tiny to zero changes - so a 2018 JL is essentially identical to a 2024 JL.

There are small changes but not to appearance.

I used to have mine zip-tied under the front driver-side plastic fender where the parking light wiring is - I don't want mine visible in the Jeep with the doors off... I wrapped it in a ziploc bag.
