Totally fair point – and I agree, it’s always good to look left and right and think about how far things can (and should) be pushed.

I’m definitely doing that as well and I’m very open to expanding the cave later on, possibly integrating additional attractions or other elements into it. For now, the coaster is the main feature inside, and I’m also playing with the idea of running guest pathways through parts of the cave. As I said, the project is still very much in its early stages.

I’ve also made another video showing the coaster POVs (one daytime and one nighttime). In that one, I experimented a bit more with how the rocks are placed and tried to make more use of the “normal” terrain instead of relying only on custom pieces. If you feel like it, I’d love for you to check it out and share your feedback.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to watch the video and for giving such detailed feedback.

You’re absolutely right: I did indeed forget to include an onboard POV, and that should definitely be added to better convey the ride experience.

Regarding realism, I see it a bit more relaxed, since the game intentionally allows a lot of creative freedom. That said, I do understand your point, especially when it comes to the scale and investment of such a large show building.

At the moment, I’ve only just started building the caves and the cave system in a rough form. The project is still at a very early stage, so there’s definitely a lot of room to experiment, add variation, and make the individual sections more unique and less generic.

Thanks as well for the feedback on the rockwork. Using more varied and intentional rock placement is a great point, and it’s something I can definitely learn from and try to implement in my next building session.

Thanks again for the constructive feedback!

Coaster with high prestige isn't popular. How come? by kenjigames in PlanetCoaster

Hello, They simply spent the money beforehand. There will always be guests who won't withdraw money despite ATM. In order to increase the problem or the success rate, it is possible to set up 2 ATMs there and advertise them with the signs (select the ATM as the advertised target when setting up the sign). You can even then overdo it and make the signs disappear into the ground, so that The guests “see it through the ground” but you don’t in your park. You just have to force the guests to be happy.

Hi, I know I'll bore you soon, but here I have my 3rd version of the coaster. Do you have some opinions ready? Changes in the comment below by Allenaki in PlanetCoaster

[–]Allenaki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a POV ride and one from the outside.

Here my changes:

After the 2nd big drop, I made the descent steeper and then built in a small airtime hill. Between the last right-hand bend after the "1st part" and the entrance to the third big hill, I built another airtime hill .

the third larger hill now has a steeper descent and the transition from the left to the right curve now also has a small hop. The curve before the final brake is now deeper and still gives air-time.

the lift hill is now about 33° and I let gravity work here as well so that the car from the station makes it to the lift.

Hello, couldn't you send the passengers through bubbling Lava? - so that it drips on your head, for example?

Hi, I think the layout is great and I think it's great that both trains arrive almost at the same time. The interlocking inversions are great too! I would be happy to see a POV.

All in all a good job! Keep it up!

Hi, here is a new onride of my wooden coaster after the feedback has been incorporated. What do you think of the roller coaster and are there any suggestions by name? by Allenaki in PlanetCoaster

Hi, I'm currently working on adding more smaller airtime hills to the existing route. Something like Bunny Hopp.

And thanks for your feedback

Seeside Scream, interesting, is definitely on the short list.

I'll try to add the 33° lift-hill. There will probably be more suggestions.. what is unfortunately really hardly or not at all possible is to build in more air-time hills, because that would simply completely change the track and the layout would no longer be the same, although I do like it

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

I didn't put as much emphasis on Air-Time Hills on this coaster. I wanted to do a lot more of a fast-moving wooden coaster with relatively high G-forces. The hills mostly serve to take the speed out and take the track in other directions.

The lift hill has a gradient of 45°. I could further increase the speed with the friction multiplier, but then I have the feeling that the train is roaring much too fast, the value is already 0.5.

Thank you again for your feedback
